When I was three or four years old, I went to the countryside to perform with my grandparents and parents who were Peking Opera actors in my hometown Suzhou. 14 years old, Suzhou Peking Opera Troupe wanted to recruit a group of young actors, and I secretly signed up. 1970, the garrison amateur performance team rehearsed the Beijing opera Shajiabang, and my mother was invited to tell a play, so I followed. After a long time, the performance team took a fancy to me and specially recruited me to join the army. From then on, 15 years old, I became a literary soldier. A few years later, there were literary performances in the army. Some people say that Suzhou is the hometown of pingtan. Why not hold a pingtan program? So, under the guidance of the famous teacher Xu Linda, I took part in the performance with the newly created fragment "Under the Microscope". During the performance, I was selected into the first-line song and dance troupe because I sang Pingtan "like pearls of all sizes poured into a plate of jade".

1980, the first national folk singing performance was held in Beijing. As the only player in the group, I was selected to participate in the performance in Beijing.
