When we arrived at the village of Xiangchang, Mamuchi, yinan county, Linyi City, the first thing we did was to recruit students. We set up a table in the small classroom, waiting for the students to sign up. Two hours after the notice, only four people came to sign up. I was so nervous that I thought no one would come to our cram school. However, in the afternoon, children came to sign up one after another. Some brought their own homework and textbooks, and some parents brought them. Finally, they even exceeded our expectations and had to be divided into two classes. Looking at these lovely faces, I am immersed in the joy of fulfilling my wishes.
When I was still at school, I planned the content of this social practice. I imagined all kinds of classroom content-simple spoken English, traditional culture of China, classic math problems and various physical and chemical experiments. What should I do when other volunteers give lectures, what should I say when I give lectures ... But I never thought about all kinds of unexpected situations in class. When I gave my children the first lesson-the lesson I taught was origami-there were many situations. For example, there are many young children with poor hands-on ability and different progress from other children. Fortunately, there are many companions to help me teach these children who can't keep up. It is not only an origami class, but also a simple oral English teaching. Because of the age problem, some children dare not speak or can't speak. When doing some simple chemical experiments, some children are lively and active, so they can't sit safely in their seats, which easily blocks the sight of other students ..... Finally, these problems are overcome by us one by one. In these classes, we can also observe children's personalities, such as introversion, extroversion, liveliness, quietness and so on.
This year marks the 0/00th anniversary of the founding of the Party in China. Linyi is a famous red base area, so we not only set up origami courses and idiom story courses, but also launched the activity of "Red Hometown, Youth Leads the Party" and set up a series of courses on party history: Jiang MHz's "Founding the Party" and Huang's "The Long March of the Red Army". Every word, every word, was exchanged by the revolutionary predecessors with their own blood and sweat. I believe that after listening to these lessons, children will also have their own feelings.
During this period, the day that impressed me the most was July 23rd. That morning, we packed our things and changed our clothes. It was sunny, and we set foot on the road to Yimeng Hongsao Memorial Hall. Before I went to teach, I had already heard about this memorial hall and got to know a little about one of them, Ming Deying. But after I went there, I learned that the story in Li Guifang's showroom, Yimeng's elder sister, impressed me the most. In this exhibition room, you can see some sculptures as soon as you enter These sculptures show the scene of women carrying the "bridge of fire" in the Battle of Menglianggu. Some of these women are pregnant and some are under 18 years old. But they built a bridge with door panels and shoulders. These people, some of whose names are unknown, can only be called by "code names" such as "daughter-in-law" and "village girl". Here, I really realized the spirit of red sister-in-law in Yimeng, the spirit of everyone's struggle and dedication to the revolution in that era.
The final closing ceremony was presided over by Xiaolong. Looking back on these fifteen days, all kinds of emotions, such as joy, anger, tension and emotion, filled our hearts. Everyone said what they wanted to say to their children, such as studying hard and combining work and rest; Have fun when you play, and study hard when you study. What I can feel is that everyone has taken these children as their own students and is serious and responsible, instead of teaching them casually as children of other people's families who should be coaxed.
Finally, the teaching activities ended successfully, and we also successfully completed this social practice. I think I will always remember this social practice, the long mountain villa in Mamuchi Township, the beautiful sky, the continuous peaks and, most importantly, the children we taught.
