Nia police are subordinate to China People's Police, and are mainly responsible for entry and exit management, port certificate inspection and foreigners' residence management. To put it simply, it is the police who are responsible for entry and exit.

National immigration bureau

Coordinate the formulation and implementation of immigration policies, be responsible for entry and exit management, port certificate inspection and border personnel exchange management, be responsible for the management of foreigners' stay and permanent residence, refugee management and nationality management, take the lead in coordinating the management of non-foreigners and the repatriation of illegal immigrants, be responsible for the management of China citizens' entry and exit services for personal reasons, and undertake international cooperation in the field of immigration.
