The reasons why five advanced NATO tanks are not easy to use are environmental and maintenance problems.

Ukraine is geographically hilly and inconvenient in transportation, which brings some troubles to the mobility of tanks. These five tanks are usually designed for plain operations, and their adaptability to complex terrain is relatively poor, resulting in poor maneuverability.

The severity of the battlefield environment is also an important factor. The battlefield between Russia and Ukraine is often urban warfare, and the proliferation of buildings puts forward higher requirements for the operation and aiming of tanks. Because these tanks are huge, bulky and have poor maneuverability, it is difficult to flexibly respond to the changing tactical needs in urban battlefields, resulting in limited tactical effects.

2. Maintenance

The maintenance of tanks is also a problem worthy of attention. Ukraine is a country with scarce resources, and the maintenance cost of tanks is high. This is undoubtedly worse for a country with financial difficulties and wartime economic downturn. Because Ukraine does not have enough funds and technical support to ensure the continuous operation and good condition of tanks, the performance of these tanks can not be fully exerted.

M 1A 1 Tank is the main battle tank equipped by the US Army and a member of the M 1 Abrams tank family. The tank began service in 1985, and is widely regarded as one of the most advanced main battle tanks in the world, with heavy composite armor and powerful firepower system.

2. Leopard -2

Leopard -2 is the main battle tank equipped by Germany and belongs to the second generation Leopard series tank. 1979 installed tanks, and 1990 made a series of improvements and upgrades. Leopard -2 tank adopts reinforced composite armor to provide better protection. It is equipped with a 1500 horsepower diesel engine, making its top speed reach 70 kilometers per hour.
