Yongquan Li Yue

Yong Quan Yue Carp is a story of twenty-four filial piety, which is about the filial piety of the Jiang family in Han Dynasty. Warn future generations that mother-in-law, daughter-in-law and husband and wife should understand each other.

brief introduction

Jiang, a native of Guanghan, Sichuan in the Eastern Han Dynasty (now Deyang, Sichuan, later became Jiangyangling, and died in Guan), married Ponzi. Husband and wife are filial, and their home is six or seven miles away from the Yangtze River. Ponzi often goes to the river to get the Yangtze River water that her mother-in-law likes to drink. Mother-in-law loves fish, and husband and wife often cook fish for her. My mother-in-law didn't want to eat alone, so she invited her neighbors to eat together. Once, because of the strong wind, Ponzi came home late to fetch water. Jiang suspected that she had neglected her mother and kicked her out of the house. Ponzi lived in a neighbor's house, worked hard day and night to spin and weave, and sent his savings to his neighbor to honor his mother-in-law. Later, my mother-in-law learned of Ponzi's dismissal and asked Chiang to invite him back. On Ponzi's way back to China, spring water suddenly gushed out of the courtyard, which tasted like the Yangtze River water, and two carp jumped out every day. From then on, Ponzi used these to worship his mother-in-law, so that he didn't have to go to the river far away.

This story is very simple. It is about Jiang's filial piety, mainly about his wife's filial piety. His wife Ponzi, who serves her aunt, that is, her mother-in-law, is very cautious. This is recorded in more detail in the Biography of Women in the Later Han Dynasty.

One legend is that ...

The story of Jiang's wife was recorded in Biography of Women in the Later Han Dynasty and also seen in Twenty-four Filial Pieties, and many stories were interpreted.

The emperor advertised and the robber worshipped his son.

This means that Liu Zhuang, the emperor of the Eastern Han Dynasty, praised Pang Sanchun, Chiang's wife, for three years. In addition, the so-called robber Red Eyebrow Army did not invade them and offered rice and meat. There is a couplet in Jiang Xiaoci: red eyebrows are too high, and Wanma teaches to win the gold medal; Qingquan, I still want to bring a pair of carp. In the first part, it is said that the Red Eyebrow Army in the Eastern Han Dynasty passed through Xiaoquan when it rebelled. When the leader heard that it was the hometown of the dutiful son Chiang, he immediately turned over and dismounted, and ordered the three armed forces to March quietly with medals, so as not to disturb the dutiful son. Therefore, throughout history, all the dignitaries, military attaché s and civil servants who passed through Xiaoquan Town dismounted and gradually became a tradition. The bottom line means that Pang Sanchun, Chiang's wife, carries water from Linjiang, seven miles away from Xiaoquan Town, every day. His style is filial and touches God. Spring water and carp gushed from the well, and Pang Sanchun took two carp with him every day when he drew water.

A door of three filial piety and safe delivery of rice.

The folk also creatively enriched this story, "Jiang's filial piety, Yongquan jumping carp; A beautiful legend of "three filial piety, sending rice safely" has been circulated in the local area for more than 1000 years. Because of Pang Sanchun, a filial daughter-in-law, the family lived a very happy and harmonious life. However, later, Aunt Jiang drove dissension, which made the Chiang family face the danger of family destruction. Jiang listened to the rumor and made a bucket with a sharp bottom, so that Pang Sanchun could not rest on the water-carrying road seven miles away from Linjiang. Later, Bai Jinxing in the sky knew about it, so she gave Pang Sanchun a whip and asked her to take it back and put it in the water tank, so she never had to carry water again. Sure enough, Pang Sanchun not only didn't have to fetch water from Linjiang seven miles away every day, but also jumped out two carp from the well every day, which improved the life of the Chiang family. However, Jiang Mu was furious when he learned about this incident, and forced his son Chiang Kai-shek to divorce Pang Sanchun. Jiang followed his mother's wishes and divorced Pang Sanchun. A neighbor pitied Sanchun, found a Taoist in Baiyi Temple and took Pang Sanchun in. Jiang Shiquan, the son of Jiang's family, also known as An 'an, knew that his mother was divorced and thought that her mother didn't have enough to eat. Every day, he grabbed a handful of rice at school and hid it behind the earth Buddha on the roadside. Over time, Ann saved a small pocket of rice and gave it to her mother who lived in Baiyi Temple. Pang Sanchun lives in Baiyi Temple, chopping wood and doing needlework every day. When he sold it, he bought rice and meat for his mother-in-law, and he also showed filial piety to his daughter-in-law. When An An sent the rice to Baiyi Temple, Pang Sanchun grabbed the rice and saw that the color of the rice was different. He angrily questioned his son. Ann had to say that this was the rice she had accumulated. Sanchun couldn't bear it any longer and cried with her son in her arms. Later, Jiang Shi found out what had happened and brought Sanchun home. The family lived happily and harmoniously. This is the origin of "Safe Rice Delivery" often sung in Sichuan Opera.

Xiaoquanjing

Xiaoquan Town is located in Jingyang District, Deyang City, on the northwest edge of Chengdu Plain. It is a famous hometown of dutiful sons and a famous historical and cultural town. China Filial Piety Culture Festival was held, which expanded a huge cultural space for Xiaoquan Town. The local Dexiao ancient town, which aims at promoting filial piety culture and has educational significance, is full of pavilions, high-rise buildings, colorful buildings and carved beams, and is antique. The word "imperial edict" is engraved on the Shimen, and there are two stone tablets in the middle of the gate square, one is Jiangxiao Temple and the other is Yueli Famous Area. Walking in from the Jiang Xiaoci archway, you can see the big plaque and ancestral hall that the imperial court commended Jiang Sanxiao. On the right side of the ancestral temple, there is a Xiaoquan well in Jiangjia, and five clear springs spew out of it. Because there is a pavilion built by the court for Koizumi's well, it is now listed as a cultural relic protection. Walking all the way inside, the stone carving of "Biography of Twenty-four Filial Pieties" is posted on the wall of the ancestral temple, as well as the main hall dedicated to commemorating Master Jiang's wife, the story corridor of three filial piety described in the form of sculpture, and the former site of Jiang An 'an's private school. It feels like entering a castle that advocates filial piety.

arouse

It seems that Jiang's filial piety belongs to foolish filial piety, and only the wife's filial piety to her mother-in-law and the son's filial piety to Ponzi are worth advocating. In ancient times, the ethics and social norms centered on loyalty and filial piety were the reflection of ancient social life. Why should we be filial? Filial piety is a reward for parents' kindness. So is the so-called kindness and kindness. Even birds know that your parents gave you life. Be kind to your parents' life, let alone people. The chapter of "The Book of Filial Piety" once said: The body has long skin, and parents dare not damage it, so filial piety begins. The way to establish a career is known to future generations to show parents that filial piety is the end.

Jiang's filial piety is also very enlightening to modern people: first, in addition to the filial piety of his son, there is also the filial piety of his wife. Of course, the best thing is to be like his family, where the son is a dutiful son and the daughter-in-law is filial. As the poem says, "A son can manage his mother, and a woman is more filial to her aunt." This reminds the world that son's filial piety is more important because it will affect his wife; If the son is not filial to his parents, then it is likely that his wife will follow in his footsteps. Of course, there are also cases where the daughter-in-law is virtuous and filial to her parents-in-law, thus inducing and changing her husband's disrespect for his parents. Secondly, sometimes the old parents have special hobbies and ask their children some unspeakable things, such as "drinking river water" and "being more addicted to fish", but the dutiful son still tries his best to meet their demands. Thirdly, it is certainly unscientific for Zhi Chengxiao to "induce" that "there is a spring, which tastes like river water" and "double carp every day". But the most sincere filial piety in society will also produce other "induction", such as the filial piety of the next generation, which will bring induction to the surrounding families and make them harmonious. Isn't this a meaningful reward?

This story reflects the ignorant spirit of filial piety in ancient feudal society. Women were in a humble position and could not get their due human rights. Daughter-in-law has no position at home, and her husband is alone. Daughter-in-law was thrown out of the house indiscriminately because of her slight negligence towards her mother-in-law. Daughter-in-law is timid and dare not resist, so she knits for her mother-in-law. This story is regarded as a much-told story. As civilized people in modern society, we should take a warning, improve the status of women, be sensible and filial, and avoid the recurrence of ancient tragedies.
