Development history of China Hangzhou West Lake Expo Museum

Hangzhou West Lake Expo Museum is located at the southern foot of Baoshi Mountain near the West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, echoing Bai Causeway from afar. The address is no 4 1-42, Beishan road. It is a yellow building with European style, which is particularly eye-catching under the shade of green trees.

Its main body is zigzag, adopting the internationally popular decorative art style, with iron brazing as the interface and wooden beams supporting the whole building. It is the earliest exhibition hall building in Zhejiang and even the whole country, and it is also the only surviving building in the new West Lake Expo in 1929.

This is the original site of the industrial pavilion of the first West Lake Expo 1929, which is the largest and most influential exposition in China's modern history, reflecting the trend of social progress and opening up in China. In order to commemorate this great event, carry forward the openness of Hangzhou's cultural character and build a platform for Hangzhou's convention and exhibition industry, in 2003, the Hangzhou Municipal Government established the West Lake Expo Museum at the former site of the West Lake Expo Industrial Museum, 65438-0929.

The museum adopts the modern display technique of combining sound, image and image, and displays a large number of precious historical materials and objects about the development history of China convention and exhibition industry, especially the West Lake Expo.
