Mengzi city is the county-level city and capital of Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province. It is located in the southeast of Yunnan Province, east of Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, east of wenshan city, south of Pingbian Miao Autonomous County, west of Gejiu City and north of kaiyuan city, between 23 01'-23 34' north latitude and 0/03 6544 east longitude.
