In order to protect the ecological environment of water areas and make scientific and rational use of water resources, the Municipal People's Government has decided to prohibit pearl culture and intensive lake culture in the waters of this city in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Environmental Protection Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), the Fisheries Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Law on Prevention and Control of Water Pollution in People's Republic of China (PRC), combined with the actual situation of our city. The notice is as follows:

The first is the scope of "no one to support" and "retirement". Scope of pearl prohibition: Artificial pearl cultivation is prohibited in all waters of the city. Lakes withdraw from the scope of intensive farming: all lakes in the city withdraw from intensive farming, which refers to the cultivation of fertilizers, bait and pesticides.

Two, since the date of promulgation of this circular, it is strictly prohibited for any unit or individual to develop new pearl breeding projects. The existing cultured pearls will be transferred out of Yuanjiang waters or moved out of breeding facilities according to the principle of "whoever contracts will repel them" before May 20 17; Before May 1 day, 2007, according to the principle of "whoever contracts will retire", the intensive cultivation of lake aquatic products will be completely withdrawn from artificial intensive cultivation (including net cultivation and cage cultivation).

Third, when the "catch-back" period expires, the departments of animal husbandry and fishery, environmental protection, water affairs, housing construction and forestry will strictly enforce the law according to relevant laws and regulations, investigate and deal with illegal acts such as illegal pearl farming and lake farming, and investigate the legal responsibility for polluting the water environment according to law.

Four, environmental protection, water, fishery administrative departments and towns and streets should do a good job in organizing the implementation of this notice, in violation of the provisions of this notice, the Municipal Supervision Bureau shall be held accountable in accordance with the relevant provisions.
