A Summary of "Living in the Present" and "Living in the Future"
1. You have a prediction for the future;
2. This prediction takes time to get the result;
3. Are you sure that your prediction is correct?
4. So you act, choose and think ahead of time according to the predicted results;
5. You will come to the moment when the results appear;
6. Finally prove that your prediction is correct;
7. So, because you act, choose and think in advance according to the correct results in the future, a part of your life will "live in the future" for a long time.
The author then gives an example about knowledge:
Knowledge is power;
Technology is productivity.
He has copied these two sentences in his diary since junior high school, and then he is convinced and insists on doing it. Finally, he said with emotion: I really "live in the future" in terms of knowledge accumulation.
Because for so many years, he really-has been using knowledge to make money, give lectures, write books, invest and start businesses, all by knowledge. Only by constantly acquiring, improving and accumulating can meaningful knowledge be produced. However, we all know these principles and don't even need to predict them. Why don't many people pay attention to them?
According to the offline discussion, we have been studying in the past, even graduated from graduate school and doctor's degree, but we have no wealth freedom because of our high education. On the contrary, some people who haven't graduated from junior high school, many of them are big bosses, and there is even a saying that college graduates work for junior high school graduates. Due to all these social phenomena, some people will find reading useless. From my own experience, I think:
First, it is too one-sided to equate the textbook knowledge learned in school with knowledge.
Second: book knowledge has not been updated for many years, and such learning is tantamount to living in the past or even living in the present.
I admire my mother-in-law. She didn't go to school for a day, but she is a very wise person. She is a devout Christian with her own beliefs and life rules. When she was here, the family was well arranged inside and outside, and she was also a very important person in the family. People around her also gave her rave reviews. What she wants from the younger generation is wisdom. In my opinion, her life experience and her religious beliefs, through her internalization, constitute her knowledge system.
So I believe that knowledge is not limited to what you learn at school, nor to books themselves. It lies in your vision, your breadth, your openness, and all the information received will be integrated to build a different knowledge system for everyone.
This is one aspect. On the other hand, although some people attach importance to knowledge, if they just talk verbally and don't practice, naturally there will be no good accumulation. There are still some people who pay attention to it and then put it into practice, but because they don't see the effect in a short time and don't continue to do it, they won't get the results you want.
Moreover, predicting this thing is inherently uncertain, and even if you continue to do it, you may not have the expected results! But so what? Didn't we agree to give up the "100%" sense of security?
It is not easy to predict the future, but because of this, don't you predict?
During the offline discussion, it was mentioned that perfection was required before, and one thing would not be done easily until it was completely determined. But it's normal to make mistakes at first. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. After every failure, we should learn to sum up experience and prepare for more accurate prediction in the future. Don't expect to succeed once, and don't expect to have a universal formula. All roads need to come out step by step, and the future built on this basis is reliable.
When we learn to respect facts and believe in logic on this basis, the more fully we do these two points, the closer we will be to the future.
In essence, what we call "living in the future" can only be "living in the future mentally", because for our material body, we must and can only "live in the present".
If you want to "live in the future" once in your life, you will be very happy and the gains will be unimaginable. But the problem is that once you start this model, once you have a clear success, you can't stop, because it will become easier and more natural, and even you can only "live in the future" psychologically.
This was also confirmed when an offline friend shared her past experience. When she first joined the work, the leader asked her about her future plans. She said she would do it herself in five years, and now she has done it. During the work, it is estimated that it will take three years to lead the team on the right track and complete the team building, and the result has been completed half a year ahead of schedule. Now that she lives in a new community, she is doing some public welfare activities and providing free decoration support. She believes that this time she is also living in the future. Someone who wants to decorate in the future will probably think of her. She just keeps living in the future.
For me, I have always dreamed of being a free full-time mother, growing up with my children and doing what I like with a group of like-minded friends.
I firmly believe that everyone wants to see themselves getting better and better, including stay-at-home mothers; I firmly believe that mothers are willing to accompany their children to grow up wholeheartedly; I firmly believe that stay-at-home mothers need to have a sense of value, have enough money at their disposal and not rely on others to give them;
What I want to do is to solve these problems with a group of like-minded mothers in the near future. And what I am doing now is also working hard in this direction. Precipitate yourself a little bit and accumulate abilities in all aspects. I regard myself as a project to invest, and finally combine the platform built by Sunshine Forest and Amway to realize my dream. I firmly believe that I will achieve the goal I set.
Finally, I want to say that when we "live in the future" and most people just "live in the present" or even "live in the past", often our actions will not be supported, even by the closest people. The author believes that when we grow up, everyone is an outsider, including our parents and lovers. Therefore, in this process, the correct attitude towards being unsupported is: by default, no one supports you, and the encouragement of others is regarded as an extra gift.
We expect others to realize our good expectations for the future. However, as long as you determine your own judgment, the more people who oppose it, the better. Just like lottery numbers, if you are sure that you are right, you want everyone not to believe you! Isn't it? Therefore, believing in your own predictions and persisting in doing it will be the best encouragement for us!
