Let me talk about why I chose the profession of lawyer.

At the beginning of this year, I entered the legal profession. After nearly a year's probation and a week's pre-job training for lawyers, I have some sincere and superficial thinking and understanding of the value of the lawyer profession.

? This may be as puzzling and difficult to answer as the ultimate philosophical proposition "Why should I live" that I often think about. Some people may disdain to answer such questions and laugh at me for being naive and bookish. Some people may say, "I chose because I like it." Many people may say, "I choose a lawyer because it is a good way to make a living. The so-called' my career depends on eating my body'. " Of course, different people have different views, and these reactions or answers are beyond reproach. I'm here to talk about my thoughts.

? As far as people's basic needs are concerned, the main reason is to live a rich and decent life. People have to eat whole grains, have food, clothing, housing and transportation, have no occupation and have no material dependence. This is almost everyone who has a career. Besides, is it possible that there are other things? Every profession naturally has its own spirit and goals. Only in this way can this profession be more developed, bluer, more beautiful, with a higher quality of life and a brighter future for mankind. At present, lawyers are proud of making more money. As can be seen from the ranking of law firms by management agencies, those with high positions and more money can be found. In the words of the legal profession, it means less empty talk and more money. In most cases, a lawyer's high income means good service, high integrity and many clients. I basically agree with this statement. According to the natural characteristics of human nature, as long as there is a place to seek personal interests, there will always be the pursuit of maximizing interests. The same is true of professional lawyers.

But should lawyers really aim at high positions and making more money? At present, I'm afraid many people will say yes, and many people will do it, although they don't say it. If I am allowed to say something inappropriate in this respect, I don't think lawyers should take this as their ultimate goal.

Survival is of course the first priority for a person, but lawyers should pay more attention to social responsibility without hindering survival. Of course, I dare not talk nonsense about Mencius risking his life for righteousness, otherwise others will certainly laugh at me for bragging. The ancients said that a gentleman keeps pace with the times. Today, the concepts of democracy and the rule of law have been displayed as never before. As a group that has received a good cultural education and professional theoretical study, has a high professional ethics and professional quality, a high level of character and sentiment, and is endowed with a lofty mission of promoting social justice and safeguarding public interests by society, how can lawyers settle down? How to assume the sacred social responsibility corresponding to its knowledge and identity in social development? I'm afraid that besides empty talk about people who are suitable for society, we need to find the best balance between pursuing personal economic interests and taking social responsibilities, and promote the process of national democracy and rule of law, that is, seeking politics in its place. As a special group, when using the law to serve the parties, we should be clear-headed and never forget our social responsibilities.

First of all, the lawyer profession requires a lot of lawyers: sense of responsibility, sense of justice, erudition, rationality and good thinking.

Everyone who lives in the world should have a basic plan and design for his behavior and lifestyle, find his accurate position in social life, achieve perfection in his living space and humanistic circle, constantly surpass himself, and make due contributions to others and society in the pursuit of his own happiness.

As a group, people who are engaged in the lawyer profession have higher requirements for each individual than other professions, such as responsibility, sense of justice, erudition, rationality and being good at thinking. It can be seen that your choice of lawyer career is a kind of self-challenge and orientation. This does not require everyone to be a lawyer, but requires every member of society to be strict with themselves, improve their quality and self-cultivation, and make contributions to human development and social progress with their own efforts.

Secondly, in the process of providing legal services to clients, lawyers should fulfill their duties, preach the rule of law and practice it.

What every lawyer can play a direct role in every business is to advocate and admire the concept of the supremacy of law. Since "teacher" is the crown, there must be the virtue of "teacher". In the process of practicing, we must be diligent and conscientious, treat the affairs of the parties quickly and positively, without delay or perfunctory. At the same time, we should be a model of believing in the law, respecting the law and obeying the rules. This in itself is to assume social responsibility, spread the rule of law-spread the concept of the rule of law in work, practice the rule of law-and fight against those behaviors that replace the law with power in work. Perhaps every lawyer's strength is insignificant, but it may be more helpful to promote the process of the rule of law than my complaining all day. Every lawyer should first try to set an example for the progress of the rule of law, instead of intentionally or unintentionally contributing to judicial corruption. Although lawyers sometimes do what they have to do in order to win a lawsuit or collect fees, I should still ask myself: Is it really necessary? Is there any other way? Who is the ultimate winner, yourself, law, society and the parties? Does the value orientation of victory conform to the direction of human progress and development? For these problems

If my answer conforms to the spirit of the law, then I have a clear conscience and should go forward bravely.

Finally, lawyers should actively participate in politics and promote the establishment of state system and political progress through the strength of professional groups.

In a country with a mature and developed lawyer system, the higher-level responsibility of lawyers is that lawyers should play a certain role in the country's political reform, economic development and cultural progress through their own efforts, and their role directly determines a lawyer's contribution to society. That's exactly what happened. Looking back at the development history of lawyer system in western countries, I find that although lawyers appear as a profession to meet people's demand for legal services in specific cases and affairs, lawyers have gradually jumped out of the "case" activity mode in the development of the whole lawyer industry and made outstanding and indelible contributions in many fields such as the establishment of national system, political reform and civilized interpretation. Lawyers therefore occupy an important position in the social and political structure of these countries, directly participating in and actually affecting the operation of democratic family management system and the improvement of social awareness of the rule of law. Woodrow Wilson, a famous American lawyer in the 20th century, commented on the achievements of American lawyers, saying, "Lawyers created the structure of state government and federal government. In the early days of People's Republic of China (PRC), lawyers dominated all major political processes. The faith of our people is engraved in the federal statute law. Every public policy issue seems to turn into a legal issue sooner or later.

In this regard, there must be trained lawyers to provide legal advice. "It's true. As mentioned above, as a group with good cultural education and professional theoretical study, with high professional ethics, professional quality and moral sentiments, if our activities are limited to the purely professional level of paid services, and if our rich intellectual resources cannot be used to contribute to social and political changes, economic development and cultural progress, it will be the sorrow of lawyers and the misfortune of the country and the nation. Therefore, as lawyers, we should have a strong sense of social responsibility to participate in politics extensively and transform society, and consciously seek our own political position in our career to undertake this great and solemn social responsibility.
