A student in Huai Jin teaches in a normal university in Taiwan Province. Supporting parents does not mean knowing how to be filial.

Nan huaijin said: Nowadays people don't understand filial piety. They think that as long as they can feed their parents and give them food, as it is now, sending 500 yuan to their parents every month to let them enjoy their happiness is filial piety. Many young people don't even give 50 yuan, but they do. Although the old lady and the old man are lonely at home, they are still very happy to see 50 yuan. So now people think that adoptive parents are filial piety, but? Can all dogs and horses be kept? If you have a dog or a horse, you have to feed it. Some people even want to buy pig liver for him to eat, and it is not true filial piety if he doesn't like to raise it. Filial piety is not a form, nor is it the same as keeping dogs and horses. So what is filial piety? Nan huaijin thinks:? Filial piety? Is that what their western culture says? Love? That is, the love you get. In other words, parents are like two friends who have taken care of you for 20 years. Now they are old and can't move. You come back and take care of him. This is filial piety. The spirit of filial piety is here. If a person doesn't even feel this way, it won't work. Filial piety is simple. Just think about how anxious your parents were when you were sick, and you will understand filial piety. Personally, the so-called filial piety is a reward for parents' love. As long as you remember that something happened to you and your parents are in such a hurry, it is filial piety to treat your parents with the same mood.

Since she left the mainland to live in Taiwan Province Province for forty years, Nan has never seen the kindness of her parents. He had to bury his thoughts about his parents in his heart, but how can others understand his pain?

Once, when he was giving a lecture, he talked about his feelings. Our generation grew up fighting for a living, and almost no day was peaceful. After leaving my hometown, I haven't been able to contact my relatives for decades, and my parents don't know whether they are alive or dead. I haven't heard from you for a decade or two, so there are two poems that say: I can rob all my flesh and blood through the calendar, but I dare not talk about human survival. ? What's the use of complaining to each other for a while, having so many children and reading so many books? Then, sit in pairs. Tears in your eyes, heartbroken to heartbroken? As the days go by, my only good friend is TV. In this regard, Nan not only sympathized with them, but also lamented the poverty of filial piety culture.

In another case, some of his friends' sons divorced after marrying their wives, and they were estranged from their biological parents. Nan huaijin once said to a friend, You are fine. You have a son and a daughter. His friend replied:? What's my use? The son belongs to the country and the daughter belongs to others. What do I have? ! ? After listening to this, Nan can only sigh that there are problems with filial piety and culture of this generation.

Chanting Buddha is not complaining.

Nowadays, many people recite Buddha but don't understand its true meaning. Nan huaijin said: Just because I don't have the name Amitabha in my mouth, I want to die and go to the west, but in fact, I have so many delusions about life and death in my heart that I don't really miss Buddha. Is this possible? Therefore, chanting Buddha will never be in vain, but it is not easy for those who muddle along to have an effect. A scholar in the Ming Dynasty said that any person has only done three things in his life: deceiving himself, deceiving others and being deceived. People do these three things over and over again from birth to death. Deceive yourself for a lifetime; Otherwise, we will lie to others, ouch! I read Buddhism well! Read with me quickly. It's really interesting to recite Buddha. In fact, you are full of complaints and worries every day. Isn't this self-deception? And that inexplicably followed to join in the fun is being bullied. Three great events in this life. ? We recite Buddha, but we don't know what it means. This is self-deception and disappointment.

In 1970s, there was a visiting doctor of astronomy from America, who named to study Zen in the south. When they met for the first time, he told some of his own experiences, saying that he had been looking for a job after graduating from the doctor's degree and had not found it yet. He also said that he had been studying in a Japanese meditation hall for some time. Who knows that after the doctor finished speaking, nan huaijin said rudely to him? You only learn Zen to find a place to live. You probably couldn't find a job and were depressed, so you hid in Zen.

As soon as I said this, I saw the doctor's tears flow down. Nan huaijin's words are too sharp, but they are similar to the big drinking method of Zen Buddhism, which brings out all his inner weaknesses, so that he can recognize the facts clearly and need not deceive himself.

The doctor was frank and admitted the fact. Therefore, nan huaijin advised him to work hard, so that he could settle for the second best instead of insisting on the doctor's standard treatment. Because the job treatment in the United States is graded according to academic qualifications, companies are willing to hire people with lower academic qualifications when the economy is in recession.
