Dazhen Kampo: Do converts have to set up Buddhist temples at home?

Some people say that I want to convert, but it is inconvenient to set up a Buddhist temple at home and I dare not convert. Having a Buddhist temple at home has nothing to do with your conversion. Setting up a Buddhist temple to offer Buddha at home is not conversion, but conversion is four kinds of recognition of the guru's three treasures: taking Buddha as the teacher, taking Dharma as the Tao, taking monks as Taoist friends, and taking the guru as the true teacher. If you don't have this condition at home, you don't need to set up a Buddhist temple, or you don't need to offer Buddha. It is good to have a Buddha in your heart. Set up a Buddhist temple in your heart and offer Buddha in your heart. If possible, you should set up a Buddhist temple to worship the Buddha, because you are a Buddhist disciple and you should worship the Buddha as a true Buddha at home. You have a home and a place to live, and the Buddhist temple also represents the place where the Buddha lives, so please invite the Buddha. If you have anything good, give it first, and don't forget the three treasures of the guru.

Give Buddha if you are willing to give Buddha, give Buddha if you are willing to give bodhisattva, give Buddha if you are willing to give three-body Buddha, and give Buddha if you are willing to give three saints in the west. There is no difference. If there are conditions at home, the Buddhist temple will be bigger, with more Buddha statues and more offerings. If there is no such condition at home, the Buddhist temple will be smaller for a Buddha, which is based on our own actual situation.

Others say that you can offer Buddha in the morning but not in the afternoon. What's the difference between morning and afternoon? Don't buddhas and bodhisattvas eat after noon? What a joke. Why don't we eat after noon when we fast? I'm afraid you will faint. When do buddhas and bodhisattvas feel groggy? The Buddha is ignorant, has no worries, has no drowsiness and is always awake. In addition, it is not the Buddha and Bodhisattva who directly eat what you provide. It's your heart for Buddha and Bodhisattva. If your heart is in place, Buddha and Bodhisattva will appreciate it. You can offer Buddha in the morning and evening, at any time.

Others say that they dare not set up a Buddhist temple because they can't offer Buddha every day. It doesn't matter. The first day, the fifteenth day and the twenty-fifth day are fine, or if you have time, this is not giving up, nor is it disrespectful. Don't forget to offer Buddha easily, don't slack off, don't be lazy, just try your best. Buddha is harmonious, tolerant, omnipresent and omniscient, and the mind of Buddha and Bodhisattva is like the sea. We should not measure it by the thoughts and actions of ordinary people.

Some people say that "it is easier to ask for Buddha than to send it", but our family doesn't offer it, so we can't say that. Please Buddha, the heart will be in place, the behavior will be in place, and everything will be complete. Later, it was inconvenient to send Buddha at home. At that time, you can send Buddha statues to temples or other clean places and send them instead of Buddha. The real Buddhist temple is in the heart, the real Buddha is in the heart, and the real support is also in the heart. When you ask, you ask from the heart, and when you send it, you send it on the surface. There is no sin in not sending it in my heart. As I said, there is nothing wrong with controlling this heart and always adjusting it.

A stick of incense represents everything; Three pillars of incense, representing the three treasures of Buddhism and Taoism; The four pillars represent the guru, Buddha, dharma and monk, and can also represent Buddha, dharma, monk and dharma. There is no fixed amount, no fixed time. Worship is the same, sometimes three times, sometimes four times, the more the better, not fixed, it is really inconvenient for you not to worship, as long as you have respect for the Sambo guru. We can neither underestimate the form nor be arrogant.
