As Liu Xia's technology became more and more exquisite, her position in the factory became higher and higher, and she soon became a small leader, responsible for leading the research and development of welded rotors. The technology of this thing has been monopolized by foreign developed countries for a long time, and our country must pay a lot of patent fees if it wants to use it.

Liu Xia led the workers to carry out dozens of repeated experiments and experienced more than 70 failures. In 2008, she finally succeeded in overcoming the technical difficulties of welding rotors. What is even more surprising is that Liu Xia keeps taking time out to study after her busy work. She led the team to develop technology during the day and went home to continue her studies at night. Shortly after the research on welding rotor technology, she was admitted to the graduate school of Shanghai Jiaotong University. Jiaotong University is not the end of Liu Xia's study. She continued to study further and later became Dr. department of mechanical engineering of Tsinghua University.
