Is there any good way to learn English?

Many people who want to learn English have a wish that they can communicate freely with foreigners.

I have attended many English classes in China, and I know all the grammar by heart. As a result, I didn't know until I arrived in the United States that I had been studying in China for ten years.

Learning English can't stay in books. It is useless to read books, recite books, practice exercises and do grammar repeatedly. It can only handle various levels. Many people have studied for several years, and they are dumbfounded when they really communicate.

Let me give you a suggestion. Write down everything you see when you open your eyes every day in English words. You may have to remember hundreds of words on the first day, and the same words on the second and third days ... until you see those things, English words are all in your mind. Then find an English movie and watch it again and again until you can understand it all (maybe only 5% can understand it the first time, but it will be much better the second time), then change to another movie and stick to the same method. After half a year, you will be very different.

First, children learn a language by listening, and no one learns grammar before speaking. Secondly, children learn the language in movies very quickly. Thirdly, the words in movies are the language of people's daily communication and the most useful. Think carefully, how much of what we say every day is the language in books? !

I have a friend from the church who has never studied English in China, and has never been to school for a day since he came to the United States. He took his children to watch nanny and TV all day, and after half a year, he spoke fluent American English.
