How to use humor properly?

There is an idiom in the Bible: "A man with a happy heart is better than hiding a wit. It is based on intelligence, and with wit, usually unrelated things can be skillfully linked. It can play tricks on sentences, but it doesn't necessarily make people laugh.

Humor and wit are different. Humor is not a metaphysical word. Humor is a decent self-joke. For example, a man with a fedora on his head and glasses on his nose walked proudly, only to find that when he got carried away, he stepped on a banana skin, slipped and stood on his feet. Such a thing is of course ridiculous. Due to his initial prestige and awkward attitude after falling, a pair is forming. On the other hand, if he is a poor man in rags and has a poor face, he will not attract people's attention if he falls down, so it is not ridiculous.

Humor can overwhelm others in communication, show their intelligence, arouse others' interest, relieve tension and make everyone happy.

Use wit and humor to interest others, and others will appreciate you. You can tell a joke to dispel the dark clouds like a ray of sunshine, and all doubts, boredom and fears will disappear without a trace in a proper joke.

If wit is used properly, it can make a hostile person speechless, and perhaps it can alleviate the embarrassing situation and win applause from others.

Mark Twain went to visit Bogart, a French celebrity. Bogart joked about the short history of the United States: "Americans often miss their ancestors when they have nothing to do, but when they think of their grandfather's generation, they can't help but stop." Mark Twain said in a humorous sentence: "When the French have nothing to do, they always try their best to find out who his father is."

This kind of wit is dangerous, and ordinary people can't use it, because it can fan sparks into blazing flames. The result of your argument with the other party is either a complete victory or a complete failure. Don't try it on others unless necessary.

Humor is different, some elegant, some innuendo, some noble, some low-level. Low-level humor is similar to ridicule, and often an ordinary sarcastic remark will make people lose face on the spot and turn against each other. So humorous words should make it look noble and gentle.

One-liners, unlimited humor, the result will not be humorous. For example, if you tell a joke three times and five times, at first others think you are funny, and then you lose interest.

If you want to give people the impression of dignity, then you should avoid making humorous remarks. My friend Guo Jun was humorous when he was a teacher, but as soon as he became a local leader, he knew that humor should not be used in officialdom, and blind humor would lose the admiration of the general public, so he made up his mind to do a job to eliminate humor.

Pay attention to joking, sometimes it will make people unhappy. The key is whether the words are just right. For example, everyone is absorbed in studying a problem, and you suddenly insert an irrelevant joke here, which will not only make people laugh, but also be reprimanded.

If your humor is criticism, malice and satire of other people's ugly things, it's better not to say these words.
