Characteristics of Russian jokes

I read a lot of Russian jokes and found nothing funny.

Russians are serious and lack a sense of humor. Therefore, most of their jokes are not funny.

For example:

A little boy got lost.

The policeman asked, "Which street do you live in?"

The little boy replied, "I don't live in the street, I live at home."

Personally, I think the characteristics of jokes are actually related to the cultural background and customs of various countries. After all, jokes come from life, just like the one I mentioned above. I'll take it out now. It's a joke. If it is put into life, it is what we often say. Joke is actually a microcosm of life, but only what can make us smile remains in this microcosm.
