What are the main dairy products exported by Denmark?

The dairy industry in Denmark consists of 33 dairy companies, including multinational dairy group Arla and 32 smaller companies. These companies have 60 factories all over Denmark, which can handle 4.5 billion kilograms of raw milk every year.

Ala company was established by Danish and Swedish dairy farmers in the form of cooperatives, and is currently the largest dairy group in Europe. In 2006, the group handled 9 1% raw milk production in Denmark and 66% raw milk production in Sweden. We also have several overseas companies, among which we have the largest branch in Britain.

Among the 32 dairy enterprises except Allah, cooperative forms and private forms account for almost half. These small companies usually focus on certain kinds of products, such as cheese, butter or liquid milk, most of which will be sold to overseas markets through professional exporters.

The annual export volume of Danish dairy industry is about 6,543.807 billion euros, providing about 8,000 jobs. The domestic dairy market in Denmark is basically occupied by domestic products, and the market share of imported cheese and imported yogurt is 25% and 20% respectively. At present, the Danish dairy retail chain has not successfully introduced German milk, and the share of imported milk in Denmark is still quite limited.

Similar to the dairy industry, the raw milk industry in Denmark has also undergone tremendous structural changes, and dairy farming has developed intensively. In 2006, there were 5,400 dairy farmers in Denmark, with an average of 97 cows in each herd, and the share of raw milk production was 834 tons. At present, the average scale and advanced level of Danish dairy farmers rank first in Europe. In Denmark, more than half of the cows live in comfortable and relaxed modern sheds. (
