As a mother who has been wearing myopia glasses since the fifth grade of primary school, I am often amazed at the unremitting efforts made by mothers to prevent children from myopia.

It is of course necessary to arrange enough light at home, prepare a little desk lamp for children, keep him in a basically good sitting position, and don't put his eyes on the homework book 10 cm, but there are still many operations, which have greatly exceeded the scope of moderation and rationality and become a strange sight.

For example, use a backpack bandage to tie the child to a chair to prevent him from hunching over and keeping his eyes too close to the book when reading and writing homework;

Install a special chest support device on the desk. As long as the child is too close to the edge of the desk, this gadget will stop him.

How terrible is myopia? I have been nearsighted for 30 years, and maybe I can share some personal experiences.

Before wearing glasses with the right degree, you may not be able to see the blackboard clearly for a while, depending on the degree of myopia. When you put on your glasses, the problem is solved.

When you wear new glasses for the first time, the back of your ears and the bridge of your nose may be a little uncomfortable, but you will get used to it after wearing them for a while.

I don't play basketball, volleyball or football, so I've never met a situation where a ball broke my glasses and pierced my eyes. As for the necessary ball games in physical education class, the total amount is far from enough to cause these problems. So as a student who doesn't like ball games, I don't think wearing glasses has any influence on physical education class.

I have no ambition to engage in those jobs that require high eyesight, and those jobs usually require other physical conditions besides eyesight, so myopia and wearing glasses have never affected my study and job choice.

So far, the only inconvenience is that when you want to wear sunglasses for sun protection or glare prevention, you can only put a simple sunglasses on your nearsighted glasses-it's a bit troublesome and won't affect anything.

Of course, this is not to say how good myopia is, but that it is not as bad as many people think. Sacrificing children's necessary reading activities and learning activities, sacrificing children's peaceful and happy homework status to take preventive measures every day, is not worth using those "confined" equipment.
