It can be seen that Sima Qian's evaluation of Lian Po is famous for his courage and generals, rather than strategy and art of war. Although Lian Po ranks among the four famous soldiers in the Warring States Period, Lian Po is even inferior to Zhao She in terms of military talent.

The biggest reason why Lian Po became famous was that he offered a humble apology, because he could correct his mistakes and left him a good reputation.

Admittedly, he did win many victories against neighboring countries in the early stage, but these victories were based on the relative strength of Zhao.
