Matthew, the only son, was born in Massachusetts. After his parents divorced, he moved to Canada with his mother. His father still stayed in America to continue his acting work. His mother used to be a model and later became the former press secretary of the Canadian Prime Minister. Matthew went to Berkeley, a private middle school. When he was growing up, he never wanted to perform, but he was very keen on tennis.

Matthew 13 years old, Canadian youth singles ranked second. Because he wanted to be a professional tennis player, he decided to move to Los Angeles to live with his father. Unfortunately, the failure of his debut in America ruined his career as a professional tennis player. Matthew began to turn his attention to his father's acting career.

Acting career

Matthew's most famous role at present is of course Chandler in Friends, but his talent is not limited to being funny on the screen. He is very creative.
