Why can China achieve such good results?

In recent days, our army has made very good achievements in the portable air defense missile project of tank biathlon. This is not surprising. As far as portable air defense missiles are concerned, our army has accumulated for decades and is world-class.

Red tassel series

The PLA's 1 generation portable air defense missile is Hong Ying 5.

Red tassel 5 is the product of imitating Soviet Sam 7, and there is no difference in performance.

The infrared seeker is also used to rear-end the enemy plane, and the solid rocket engine is used.

The Soviet Sam 7 was a product of the 1960s, and it showed its great power as early as the Middle East War and Vietnam War.

Our red tassel 5 was copied as early as 1975, because many technical problems could not be solved. It was not until 1984 that it first appeared in the National Day military parade!

It can be seen that China's field air defense capability was so weak at that time.

Objectively speaking, in the 1980s, Sam 7 or Red tassel 5 was out of date. Its performance in all aspects is not enough to deal with modern fighters or even helicopters.

As early as the 1970s, the Soviet Union introduced a new generation of Sam 14. In the early 1980s, more powerful Sam 16 and Sam 18 portable air defense missiles came out.

Sam and the Soviet Union were only allowed to export from 14 to 1985. We can't get it at home, so we can only copy Sam 7.

However, Red tassel 5 finally solved the fundamental problem of yes or no.

With the red tassel 5, PLA soldiers at least have the ability of air defense and self-defense, rather than being slaughtered.

Red tassel 5 has poor performance and poor foreign trade performance. Only some third world countries in South America, Asia and Africa have bought it.

You may still remember the scene in the movie "Lord of War", 1 The arms dealer promoted the red tassel 5, claiming that he could only fight civil aircraft.

In view of the poor performance of Hong Ying 5, our army has introduced series A, B and C after many improvements, and its performance has been improved to a certain extent.

As for the red tassel 5C, it is installed on a 4*4 launch vehicle and can launch 8 missiles continuously.

Avantgarde series

Qianwei 1

There is little difference between Red tassel 5A and Soviet first-generation Sam 7. The Soviet army has equipped the fourth generation Sam 18!

Compared with Sam 7, Sam 18 has a great improvement in performance.

More importantly, Sam 7 has been used for 20 years, and no matter how it is improved, it can't cope with modern fighters.

On the basis of Hong Ying 5, the PLA launched the avant-garde 1 portable air defense missile.

Avant-garde 1 the goal at that time was to surpass Sam 14 of the Soviet Union and the stinger of the United States.

Avant-garde 1 has adopted many new technologies, which are much more powerful than Hongying 5.

Its shooting altitude has increased to 4000 meters, and its combat response time is only 10 second. The missile is fast and can attack directly.

The comprehensive performance of Avant-garde 1 is more than twice that of Hong Ying 5, and it also exceeds the earlier model of American Stinger missile.

Interestingly, avantgarde 1 was exported in large quantities and copied by other countries, with many achievements.

In the conflict between India and Pakistan and Cargill in 1999, Pakistan used avantgarde 1 continuous shooting down 1 MIG -265438 and 1 MIG -27. This forced the Indian Air Force to temporarily ground. After the war, Pakistan began to imitate its own avant-garde 1 and named it Anza missile, which has been heavily equipped with Pakistani troops.

Avantgarde 2

Avant-garde 2 is a modified version of Avant-garde 1 and is the second missile used in this tank.

Before Avant-garde 2 was born, Avant-garde 1 had introduced improved models such as M and A! Among them, Type A imitates Sam's 18 combat mode, that is, adding 1 individual radar and detecting distance15km.

The radar has a high detection probability, and can find helicopters flying in treetops or rotors partially exposed in hidden mountains. This model no longer relies on soldiers to identify targets with naked eyes, and its performance is improved several times.

Avant-garde 2 has improved the range, increased the missile speed and damage on the basis of Avant-garde 1, and can effectively deal with various air targets including cruise missiles.

Avant-garde 2 surpassed Stinger and Northwest Wind and became one of the best missiles in the world at that time.

Avantgarde 3

In modern warfare, more and more fighters avoid the attack of portable air defense missiles by increasing their flying height.

The shooting height of ordinary missiles is only three or four kilometers, and it is not difficult for aircraft to exceed this height.

In the air raid on Yugoslavia, the NATO air force was in the middle and high altitude, and the portable air defense missile was useless at all.

In order to solve this problem, Avant-garde 3 canceled the previous infrared homing mode and adopted the advanced laser guidance mode.

Avant-garde 3' s shooting height increased to 5000 meters, oblique shooting height increased to 8000 meters, and single shot hit rate increased to over 85%.

Avantgarde 4

Avantgarde 4 adopts thermal imaging guidance, which is different from other models.

The performance is very close to Avant-garde 3, which is used in different battle scenes.

Flying crossbow series

Flying crossbow 6 is the third generation portable air defense missile in China.

Avant-garde missiles are generally at the level of 1 in the world, and there is still a certain gap with the most advanced missiles in the west. Flying crossbow 6 is different.

The missile was finalized at 1999 and was first made public to the world at Zhuhai Air Show in 2002.

The performance of flying crossbow 6 has caught up with the mainstream level in the world.

It adopts passive infrared guidance, full digital infrared detector and pulse tracking system.

It has stronger tracking ability, anti-infection ability and high maneuverability, which is roughly equivalent to the most advanced Sam-24 portable air defense missile in Russia (works in the 1990s).

Naturally, high performance is not without cost.

Flying crossbows are much more expensive than their predecessors. 1 generation of red tassel 5 is only worth several hundred dollars, and the unit price of flying crossbow is more than 654.38+10,000 dollars.

The flying crossbow 6 sold to Malaysia includes ancillary equipment, and the unit price is as high as 400,000 US dollars.

The flying crossbow 6 has excellent performance and can pose a threat to most active fighters.

Feicrossbow 6 has a good export performance and is exported to Bangladesh, Cambodia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Peru, Sudan and Qatar.

Interestingly, the result of flying crossbow 6 is even worse.
