Plot summary:

Samurai Bowen (Dennis Quaid) ) is the swordsmanship teacher of Prince Enon (played by David Tewillis). He wants to teach the prince to become a wise king who respects ancient precepts. However, during a peasant rebellion, Lao Wang was killed and the prince's heart was fatally injured. At the princess's begging, a dragon rescued the prince and gave him half a heart. The prince who became the new king became very cruel. Bowen thought it was the dragon's heart that had changed the prince, so he vowed to take revenge on the dragon.

More than ten years have passed, and Bowen has slain countless dragons while wandering. The last time he met a powerful opponent. After a bitter fight, the two sides became friends. Only then did Bowen know that this was the last dragon in the world. Bowen named it Canglong (voiced by Sean Connery). During their travels, they met Kara, who encouraged the people to revolt because of his father's murder, and the two became friends. A chance encounter allowed Bowen to see Ainon's true face. Bowen led the people into the castle and completely defeated Ainon. However, in order to kill Ainon, one must kill Azure Dragon. Under Canglong's order and request, Bowen killed Canglong in tears and got rid of the tyrannical king Ainon.
