Vajra Wisdom Level 2 Course Notes (Part 1)

On November 14th and 15th, the second level course of Diamond Wisdom ushered in. The sun in Chongming at noon made people feel sleepy. In the afternoon, Teacher Stanley appeared in a neat suit and inspired a room full of ladies. He looked around: The best way to relieve tension is to meditate. Everyone had a good time and adjusted their sitting postures. As he led meditatively, I felt an extremely pure and powerful aura, which miraculously relaxed my tense nerves. The negative emotions that had been tumbling for weeks calmed down, and wonderful things arose in my mind. People and things, my mood returned to the track of calmness and gratitude a month ago.

The theme of the second level is: finding the passion in life. I have heard many celebrities mention it in their speeches: follow your heart, don’t be disturbed by external voices, and find your own passion and talent. After hearing these words, I am still confused and have no direction.

Teacher Stanley shared his experience. When he was about to graduate from college in 2011, he was extremely confused about what he wanted to do in the future. He happened to participate as a volunteer in the second-level retreat camp organized by Geshe Teacher in Guangzhou and met with Geshe. The theme is the same this time: finding your passion in life. Through that retreat, he found the key. First ask yourself what kind of passion you are looking for. In the King Kong system, passion is divided into three types, or three major goals:

1. Make your work happy

Work It takes up 8 hours of your time every day. It would be a pity if you are not happy. Ask yourself whether you are enjoying what you are doing, regardless of your livelihood.

2. Find your own talent

There is a "silver mine" hidden in everyone's body - your talent map. If you can discover it, you will be very happy. If the potential of everything in the world is real, when your seed changes, you will not be able to imagine the life after finding your talent. Your imagination is too limited. Once the seed changes, everything will be different, and all shackles and difficulties will be broken.

3. Become a superman, help others, and help the world

Heroic movies at home and abroad are enduring. Deep down in everyone’s heart, everyone longs to become a superman. Helping others is better than wealth and fame. , sexual desires are much greater. In the world of the Diamond Sutra, everything is possible. We will have "superhuman" abilities and help the world through what we do.

After the goal is clear, how to achieve it? Every time at a critical moment, we must review "The Story of the Pen" again. Here is an episode. In the first half of this year, Master Geshe was awarded an honorary doctorate from the oldest university in Mexico. On the day of the ceremony, many national dignitaries came. I thought that Master Geshe would speak something profound to these big figures. Unexpectedly, Geshe Teacher Xi slowly took out a pen and told the story of the pen. Why do we have to constantly repeat and analyze the principles of the pen? Because "emptiness" is the most essential content of the universe, and the secret of success lies in it.

Currently, there are many laws in the market that proclaim: As long as I want it, I can get it. But you will find that just wanting is useless. The things we want are still out of reach.

Everything (for a reason) is like a dream. We think it is a pen itself, but in fact it comes from me. Everything in the universe comes from our seeds. If you feel unhappy at work, it doesn't exist. A dream you thought you couldn't achieve never existed. When you see the person who made you angry, he/she did not exist. Think about the story of the pen. That pen came from me. I thought it was someone else's fault. The person who took a shower without closing the shower curtain and made the floor watery. The person who made me angry was actually myself. Once you know that it was me who caused it, all your anger will disappear. Once you know that the person who made things not good does not exist. Congratulations, you can start implementing your action plan.

Think about a problem to be solved: whether you are unhappy at work or can’t find your passion in life, no matter what confusion you have, find someone who has the same confusion as you.

Think about it, what is your motivation for doing this, is it for yourself or to help others? The power of Seed 90 lies in "motivation". If you are willing to have a helping heart and help others, you will ultimately help yourself. There is an example of the power of seeds mentioned in Buddhist scriptures. If you step on an ant to death, 15 days later, the seeds will double according to the principle of 24 hours, which is equivalent to killing a person. (It sounds too scary to be true). However, the growth rate of the seeds of consciousness will be even crazier than this. Some people say, I didn't do anything bad, but I will encounter a lot of bad things. Maybe the problem lies in your motivation. There are three types of motivations:

1. I only care about what I want to get? 2. I really want to help my friends get it? 3. Benefit the whole world

Which motivation is the strongest? Big, needless to say, please set the goal as: I hope that my success will lead more people to succeed in the future (benefiting the whole world). That way, while you're just making plans to help your friends, you're already planting good seeds.

In order to find the passion of life, Teacher Stanley found a man in his 50s who had not found the passion of life. He asked and listened to the man about his youth and talked to him on the phone once a week. You have to ask: That’s it? Isn't it too simple, and the truly powerful things may be that simple.

But you need to pay attention to the method. Teacher Stanley "helped" him by "asking for help" from his elders, without the other party knowing. We need to use skillful methods, teach different people in accordance with their aptitude, and think about how to help them most effectively. Don't help him once, do it continuously, continue to help him, once a week or every two weeks, one hour at a time, you can make an appointment at a place that the other person likes, both of you are relaxed, the time should not be too long, and leave some room for the next time , don’t spend 4 or 5 hours at a time.

Why should we continue to help? The second way for seeds to bloom: to become a habit. By continuing to help each other, you will become more comfortable and skillful, your seeds will become stronger each time, and your power will grow exponentially.

After the seeds are planted, how long will it take for them to mature, and when will they bloom and bear fruit?

The last step: coffee meditation

Meditate in a relaxed manner. Lie down before going to bed and think about the good things you have done and the good seeds you planted. The maturity of good seeds requires happiness. This is especially important for a relaxed mood. Here is a joke. One day during the break of activities, when extremely tired, Teacher Geshe suddenly asked Teacher S: how?do?yo?konw?i'm?holy?man (How do you know I am a saint)? Teacher S was Asked: Oh, I don’t know. Teacher Geshe slowly raised his feet, pointed at the hole in his sock, and said happily: I’m?holely?man.

Please stay happy! Put aside your worries at night and it’s time to relax! Often the right way is simple and happy. Think about the things you have done to help others, and be happy with the results of the good seeds you planted. Only those who do it can realize the power of Vajra and have confidence. Teacher S believes that there are many smarter and more handsome people than him. That’s why he is here to share and teach everyone. The answer is: He did it.

Every time Teacher Geshe gives a public lecture, 2,000 people come to listen to it, 200 people attend the retreat camp, and finally more than 20 people participate in the weekly reading group and continue to practice. If You are one of those 20 people, so congratulations, your wealth is more expensive than 50 Maseratis. If you can really think of how much effort you have put in to understand the wisdom of Vajra and practice it in this life, your head It will explode. You cannot bear it at all. I am deeply happy to be such a person. Think about it: I'm so lucky to have this opportunity to learn new and old ways.
