How did the wolf's mother die?

Grey Wolf's mother is a white wolf. Although this is said to be a mother, it has never actually appeared in the animation. It is only mentioned that the white wolf died of grief because of her husband's death. Grey Wolf had a miserable childhood and lost his parents in a short time. No wonder Big Wolf is so family-oriented now.
