3. Key points of publicity

(1) Promoting mental health and preventing and treating mental illness are our collective responsibilities. In order for the people to live and work in peace and contentment, for the society to be harmonious and stable, and for the country to maintain long-term peace and stability, it is necessary for individuals, families, schools, units, social organizations, and government departments to take action, work together, and take responsibility together to improve the mental health of the entire population.

(2) The key to maintaining mental health lies in the individual. Patients with mental illness must take the initiative to receive treatment and promote recovery; the patient's family must fulfill the responsibility of caring for and monitoring the patient, actively help the patient receive treatment and undergo rehabilitation training, and must not abandon the patient.

(3) Social mobilization to build a social psychological support and mental health service network. Professional psychological service institutions are the backbone of network construction, and schools, units, communities, and hospitals are the main places that carry the network.

(4) Departmental collaboration to jointly prevent and treat mental illness.

(5) Government leadership is an important guarantee for good mental health work. Mental health issues are currently an important public health issue and a prominent social issue in our country. Governments at all levels must strengthen leadership, innovate social management concepts, increase investment in mental health work, and promote mental health legislation and its implementation.

4. Activity Form and Requirements

First, post promotional slogans around the community health service center and at major traffic intersections, and publish an issue of information on mental illness prevention and treatment on the bulletin board.

Secondly, on October 10, leaflets will be distributed to the general public, and a consultation point will be set up in front of the community health service center to answer questions about mental illness prevention and treatment to passers-by.

Chapter 2:

On World Mental Health Day, Laoshan District Community Health Service Center organized medical staff to go into the community to provide residents with psychological counseling and free clinic services. Nearly 200 people were on site. Consultation and free clinic services were provided to residents, and nearly a thousand copies of promotional materials were distributed.

Mental health disorders have become a serious and costly global health problem, affecting people of all ages, cultures, and socioeconomic status. As the technical guidance unit for the management of severe mental disorders in Laoshan District, the Laoshan District Community Health Service Center hopes that through this event, it can improve residents’ understanding of mental illness, share scientific and effective disease knowledge, eliminate public prejudice, and achieve early detection, Early prevention and early treatment promote family happiness and social harmony.
