As an important business card for all-region tourism in Tengchong, Yunnan, Mayugu Hot Spring Town is an important instruction to implement the provincial party committee and the provincial government’s efforts to create an “eight-shaped” Greater West Yunnan Tourism Ring, linking the resources of the West Yunnan region, and regional characteristic and advantageous industries, in June 2021 From September 9th to June 12th, Mayugu Hot Spring Town, as a school-enterprise cooperation unit of West Yunnan Jewelry College, was invited by Secretary Zhang Lei of the college to join hands with experts from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) to launch the Great West Yunnan Tourism Loop Special research. Exchange and learn from the experience of serving Yunnan in creating a "world-class healthy living destination", assisting the construction of the Greater West Yunnan Tourism Ring and the transformation and upgrading of Yunnan's tourism.

During the period, we held discussions and exchanges with Baoshan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and Nujiang Prefecture Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and discussed the integrated development trend of "culture, sports and tourism" and related talent needs based on the development of local cultural tourism.

Visiting and researching the tourmaline industry in Lushui City

The round trip for this research was about 1,500 kilometers. Sightseeing areas, bicycle tracks, and experiential facilities are being constructed and improved along the way. The joint research team conducted active discussions based on "culture, tourism, outdoor, geographical resources" along the way, looking for highlights and hot spots, learning from mature practices, seeking replicable experience, and constantly looking for transformation and future paths.

Compared with Nujiang, these places have different development concepts.
