Introduction of Yuncheng Town Wind Tower?

Zhenfeng Tower is located in the northwest of Hejin City, Yuncheng City 10 km north of Kangjiazhuang Village, Qingjian Street 100 m. Key cultural relics protection units in Shanxi Province.

Zhenfeng Pagoda was built in the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in the Song Dynasty. In the thirty-fourth year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1555), it was destroyed in the earthquake in North China. Now this pagoda was rebuilt by villagers Lu Zigong and others in the 11th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1583). The tower is a square solid brick structure with 13 layers of dense eaves, 27 meters high and 30 meters high. Wind chimes are hung around the eaves, and the tower gate is in the shape of a copper tower with a copper phoenix at the top. The tower is narrow at the top and wide at the bottom, with obvious points. The first to third floors are wood-like waist eaves, rafters and arches, and more than four floors are eaves. The lower floor is 6m high, the side length is 4.6m, the perimeter is 18.4m, the height of the north-facing arched door is 2.3m, and the upper floor has small windows in the north-south direction. Aquarius Tower, on which is cast a west-tailed phoenix. There is a stone tablet, which was rebuilt by villagers Lu Zigong and other managers in the eleventh year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty.

Pouring stones in front of Zhenfeng Tower can send out the echo of "birdsong". In the dead of night, knocking at the tower can send out a series of echoes, like birds contending and frogs croaking for miles. Appraised by experts from Shanxi Institute of Architectural Acoustics 1988, the tower is considered as an echo building with great scientific and artistic value.

As an ancient building in Ming Dynasty, Zhenfeng Pagoda was listed in the third batch of key cultural relics protection units in Shanxi Province on 1996.
