I applied for a patent for utility model in mid-April, but after preliminary examination and payment, I haven't received a written reply. What should I do?

After receiving the acceptance notice and paying the application fee, it is necessary to wait for the formal notice, which may be the notice of correction or the notice of authorization, because the Patent Office will distribute the application to the examiners of the corresponding categories for review. Moreover, according to the regulations, there is no need to review the examiner two months before the application date, because these two months are reserved for you to take the initiative to modify. After these two months, the examiner will start the exam. If you think there is nothing wrong with the document, you can authorize it, and you will be sent an authorization notice and a registration notice to inform you of the registration authorization; If you feel that there is something wrong with the document that needs to be revised, you will be sent a notice of correction to inform you to revise the application document; If the examiner feels that there is a problem that needs your statement, he will send you a notice of review opinions, asking you to modify the document and state your opinions.

According to the current examination form of utility models, the examination results will be issued within six or seven months from the date of application, whether it is a notice of authorization, a notice of correction or a notice of examination opinions. So there may be a notice sent to you in the last month or two.

Remind you to pay attention to the contact address filled in the request, and often go to see if there is a registered letter. E-mails and letters of patent examination are registered letters.
