Fully understand the fire hazards of electric vehicles. In recent years, electric vehicle fire accidents have occurred frequently in my country and have been increasing year by year. The main cause of fires is electrical faults. Most electric vehicles are parked and charged indoors, and some are even parked in public areas such as walkways and stairwells. Since most of the electric vehicle bodies are made of flammable and combustible materials, once they catch fire, they will burn quickly and produce a large amount of toxic smoke. It is difficult for people to escape due to gas, and it is easy to cause casualties.

Standardize the parking and charging behavior of electric vehicles. Citizens should park electric vehicles in safe places and ensure safety when charging. It is strictly prohibited to park or charge electric vehicles in public areas such as walkways, stairwells, and safety exits within the building. Citizens should try not to park or charge electric vehicles in their personal residences; if parking and charging are indeed necessary, precautionary measures such as isolation and supervision should be implemented to prevent fires.

Strictly investigate and punish illegal parking and charging behaviors. Property service companies, competent authorities, villagers’ committees, and residents’ committees should immediately organize special inspections of electric vehicle parking and charging in residential communities and buildings to eliminate hidden dangers in a timely manner. If an electric vehicle is found illegally parked or charged during inspection, it shall be stopped and organized to clean it up; if the vehicle refuses to be cleaned up, it shall be reported to the fire department of the public security organ or the public security police station.

Electric vehicles running upstairs may cause fire safety hazards, and charging in the corridor is illegal.

Article 27 of the "Fire Protection Law of the People's Republic of China" The product standards of electrical products and gas appliances shall comply with fire safety requirements.

The installation and use of electrical products and gas appliances, as well as the design, laying, maintenance and testing of lines and pipelines, must comply with fire protection technical standards and management regulations.
