How to understand the importance of seasonal maintenance of weapons and equipment

Temperature, humidity and sundries. All these will affect the mechanical properties of weapons, so seasonal maintenance is equivalent to the secondary maintenance of weapons and equipment, which is an important maintenance operation (daily maintenance becomes tertiary maintenance, and maintenance after reaching a certain service life is called primary maintenance.

Seasonal changes will change the physical and chemical indicators of the environment where weapons and equipment are located, such as temperature, humidity, and even oxygen content and salinity in the air. Moreover, if it is used for one season, the sliding surface of weapons and equipment will be worn, non-metallic parts will be aged, errors will occur between the parts that need to be zeroed and the nominal parts, and pipelines will be blocked. All weapons and equipment are equipped with maintenance manuals when they leave the factory, which strictly stipulate the conditions and implementation process of seasonal maintenance. At the same time, the military also has written maintenance standards for the secondary maintenance of weapons and equipment, which stipulates the departments that should participate in seasonal maintenance and the division of maintenance responsibilities.

For example, our army generally stipulates to carry out seasonal maintenance in spring in March and seasonal maintenance in winter in June 165438+ 10. Seasonal maintenance in summer and winter is not mandatory, and all units (regiments or above) can master it flexibly according to their own conditions. According to the usage and equipment situation of technical equipment, the equipment control and maintenance center of each unit will issue seasonal maintenance instructions, and the designated equipment will be maintained by designated personnel in the designated place in accordance with the issued seasonal maintenance regulations, and will be submitted to the designated department for maintenance acceptance after maintenance.

In recent years, with the acceleration of the modernization reform process of our army, the technical equipment of various arms and services has increased substantially, and the equipment technology is unprecedented in complexity. Compared with the old mechanical equipment, the maintenance of advanced weapons and equipment is much more difficult. The old-fashioned "seeing, hearing and asking" has not adapted to the needs of the times, and a large number of digital and intelligent investigation equipment also needs commanders and fighters who are proficient in this field to operate. This also requires our military academies to speed up the training of qualified military personnel, enrich the troops as soon as possible, and let advanced weapons and equipment give full play to their due power.
