In the screening process, the US military was strongly opposed by volunteer prisoners of war, especially the resistance of volunteer prisoners of war in one and three Busan prison camps. Except for a few people's army prisoners of war, these camps mainly hold the wounded and sick of volunteer prisoners of war. There has always been an underground party of volunteers in Busan prison camp, and Wang Huaying and others set up the "League to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea". After he was captured by the US military, he was led by Zhang Heshun, Liu Zhenjia, Zhang Dianxiang and others to continue his work. Through their efforts, 18 people in the institute have expressed their determination to return to the motherland.

Zhang Heshun was originally the assistant instructor of 3rd Battalion, 54th Regiment, 18th Division. In the fifth battle, the 18th Division was besieged. He and Han Yueji insisted on guerrilla warfare behind enemy lines for more than 3 days, and were later arrested due to serious injuries. In Busan prison camp, he assisted Wang Huaying to lead the Alliance to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and he served as deputy secretary.

On April 16th, Busan prison authorities broadcast a notice to screen prisoners separately, and set up a tent outside the prison. It seems that the screening will begin soon. Zhang Heshun immediately convened a meeting to study countermeasures and decided to oppose the illegal screening by the US military authorities, so as to ensure that all the difficult friends can return to the motherland. Considering that the enemy will forcibly screen, we must prepare for the worst. Since most of the prisoners of war in the three hospitals were wounded and sick, they were divided into three squadrons and one picket according to the severity of injuries, and tools, shovels, stones and sticks were prepared just in case.

On the same day, they wrote a slogan with bleach brush in the prison camp: Oppose false screening! Oppose the slaughter of prisoners of war! And put up the banner of the Chinese people * * * and China, indicating that they don't need to be screened. Due to the relatively high position of 3 in Busan, Busan citizens can see the five-star red flag and white slogan. Shocked by this, the U.S. military immediately sent troops to surround several places, and ordered the flag to be lowered and slogans to be obliterated.

After this struggle against screening, the US military began to stop screening in Busan prison camp, and all the screened China prisoners of war who were going back to the mainland were concentrated in the 62 concentration camp.

In this case, the underground party organizations in the prison camps began to regroup. Considering that we are far away from the higher-level party organizations, completely cut off from the organizations, and in the special environment of brutal struggle behind enemy lines, it is best to establish a core organization that is essentially the leadership of the * * * production party, but not called the * * * production party.

Zhao Zuoduan proposed to name it "* * * Productive Solidarity Association", which was approved by everyone and decided to set up the 62 concentration camp "* * * Productive Solidarity Association". Zhao Zuoduan was elected as the secretary of the General Committee, and Wei Lin, Du Gang and Sun Zhenguan were deputy secretaries. The Standing Committee is Gu Zesheng, and its members are Ma Xingwang, Wang Huaying, Li Xier, Chen Jiqing, Zhang Chengyuan, Zhang Zhiqiang, Xu Rugang, Men Peiying and Li Ming. At the same time, sub-committee organizations have been established in 1 sub-battalions, and each sub-committee has more than 1 comrades.

In order to facilitate the open management, the concentration camp set up a homecoming detachment, with Sun Zhenguan and Zhang Fuqing as the deputy detachment leaders, Sun Zhenguan as the general representative, and Zhang Zeshi as the chief translator and head of external liaison.

Wei Lin, the first deputy secretary, was an old Red Army who took part in the revolution in 1935. He fought with the army in the south and fought in the north. When he entered the DPRK, he was the deputy chief of staff of the 359th regiment of the 18th division of the 6th Army and was captured in the fifth battle. This comrade has a strong party spirit, actively participated in the leadership in the prison camp, and has strong leadership ability. He took the lead in the struggle with traitors and the US military authorities. Especially after Secretary Zhao Zuoduan was isolated by the US military authorities, Comrade Wei Lin took the place of the secretary and commanded each camp to fight against the enemy. He is a rare good comrade in the leadership team of prisoners of war.
