The Present Situation of Shihai Campus of Haizhou Normal University in Jiangsu Province

1995, the former Haizhou Teachers College was named as one of Lianyungang 10 patriotic education bases, and 1997 was named as Jiangsu patriotic education base. Since then, Shihai Campus has become the window of the school's external communication and one of the important provincial patriotism education bases in Lianyungang. From 65438 to 0999, Haizhou Teachers College was renamed Lianyungang Teachers College, and the prestigious schools at home and abroad disappeared.

After June, 20001year, the Haizhou Campus of Lianyungang Teachers College (the former Haizhou Normal Campus) was occupied by Lianyungang Foreign Language School and Lianyungang Haizhou Experimental Middle School (the assets still belong to Lianyungang Teachers College), and the administrative staff of the former Shihai Campus changed hands, which led to the weakening of the campus cultural atmosphere, the gradual neglect of historical traditions and the gradual decline of the normal school-running system. In particular, the school history museum is very old, disrepair and precarious. A large number of precious heritages and cultural relics that have witnessed the long history of the former Haizhou Normal University have not been properly kept, which has had a certain negative impact on alumni at home and abroad. Comrade Lu is an alumnus of the former Naval Academy (comrade's mother, the earliest female party member in the naval area) and has deep feelings for the Naval Academy. 1984 During the anniversary of the Naval Academy, she and former Jiangsu Governor Hui Yuyu made a special trip to Lianyungang to visit her old classmates, and suggested to the municipal government that the Naval Academy should be properly protected as a revolutionary site. Comrade Li Yuanchao's aunt, Comrade Lv Menglin, donated her life savings of 30,000 yuan to the "Hope Project" in her hometown, and built a high-standard library in the courtyard of Wuji Central Primary School in her hometown. 1October 29th, 1996, Comrade Li Yuanchao, then executive vice minister of the Ministry of Culture, attended the inauguration ceremony and presented a large number of books. Later, he visited the library on his own many times and sent a letter to the city and county leaders refusing to rename Wuji Primary School Menglin Primary School.
