As the champion trophy of CBA league, the official name of Supreme Ding in CBA is "China Basketball Supreme Ding". Its real name is "Mou Zuoyun Cup" to commemorate Mr. Mou Zuoyun, the pioneer and founder of basketball in China. In recognition of Mou Zuoyun's contribution to basketball in China, the Basketball Association named the highest champion of CBA League Cup after Mou Zuoyun in 2005.

The first reason is that the space of the Supreme Ding is limited. If the name of the champion team of CBA every season is engraved on the Supreme Ding, then it will be full and there will be no place to engrave it.

The second reason is that the material of Supreme Ding is the best jade. If the name of the champion team is engraved every year, it may damage the Supreme Ding.
