Will glass bottles break in cold water?

Hello: glass is a poor conductor and fragile. When the temperature difference between the inside and outside of glassware is too large, the internal and external expansion is inconsistent. For example, if boiling water is injected into a cold glass bottle, the circumference inside the bottle will increase, but the temperature of the glass outside the bottle has not yet risen to the same level as that inside the bottle, so the circumference outside the bottle does not increase as fast as that inside the bottle, so it is broken by the glass inside the bottle. For glassware resistant to cold and heat, choose glass with small expansion rate. The thickness of glassware should be small and the shape should not be too sharp.
