Many people know about the Tangyue Archway Group in Anhui, but not many people know about the archway in Yubei District, Chongqing. On the land of more than 1,000 square kilometers in the original Jiangbei County, there are more than 80 stone and wooden archways, most of which were built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Most of these archways are distributed on the traffic arteries of the five "Jia" dams in the east and west of the county. They are densely populated near towns, such as Gongmingfang, Daofafang, Mausoleum Arch, Sign Arch, etc. As time went by, by the early days of liberation, there were only forty or fifty stone and wood archways. During the Cultural Revolution, these archways were almost destroyed and severely damaged. Many stone and wood archways with high artistic value were destroyed in the destruction of the "Four Olds". Among the archways in the original Jiangbei County, archways commemorating women's chastity are the most common. There are often commendatory words such as "Filial filial piety and fragrance" on the plaques of the archways. People are accustomed to calling them "Chastity Archway" and "Filial Filial Piety Archway". These archways have high artistic and historical value.

There is a Jiexiao Archway in Longxi Town, located in Longxi New Archway Village, hence the name Longxi Archway. It was built in the 30th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1904) and has a history of more than 100 years. The square is a stone imitation wooden archway structure, with four columns and three bays, and triple eaves resting on the mountain. It is 13.4 meters high and 8.8 meters wide. The content, structure and shape of the north and south sides are the same. There is a beautifully carved "Imperial Edict" plaque on the main door. The lintel is a high-relief pattern of figures and flowers. The carvings on the horns are lifelike and miraculous. Both sides are engraved with a large number of patterns and inscribed poems. Most of the patterns are mythological stories and historical stories. What can be roughly identified are the contents of "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms", such as the Three Heroes fighting Lu Bu, Zhuge Liang and Sima Yi, etc. Now Longxi Archway is no longer in Longxi Town.
