What is the difference between an optometrist and an optometrist?

The difference between optometrists and optometrists lies in the different level of optometry technology.

Optometrists practice qualification certificate management, in addition to receiving regular optometry professional educators, other personnel engaged in optometry work must obtain the professional skill appraisal certificate issued by the labor department and hold relevant certificates. Professional optometrists who have obtained certificates are divided into five grades, from low to high: primary optometrists, intermediate optometrists, senior optometrists, technicians (second-class optometrists) and senior optometrists (first-class optometrists).

It is understood that optometry is divided into subjective optometry and objective optometry. Objective optometry is to measure diopter through professional instruments, while subjective optometry is the most accurate conclusion given by comprehensive optometrists and optometrists' judgments. Subjective optometry requires high skills and experience of optometrists, and a qualified optometrist must have more than two years of clinical experience.
