In addition to riding with X-ADV?750 and CRF?1100L ?Africa?Twin not only had two days of close contact, but also met a group of highly skilled motorcycle friends. The scooter itself makes it very suitable for urban commuting, but our riding this time was more about high-speed and mountain roads. When driving at high speed, the stability of X-ADV is very good. The inline twin-cylinder engine can effectively control the vibration in various speed ranges. It is simply too comfortable for people like me who are used to riding large single-cylinders. The 6DCT gearbox is a high-end configuration among motorcycles. The gear shifting speed is very fast. Although the smoothness is not as good as the average level of a car, it is not annoying. The only thing that is a bit regretful is that the downshift logic is slightly strange. This gearbox I really don't like downshifting, but if you put it in S gear, this problem will be solved. S gear will allow you to squeeze the potential of each gear and use up the speed range of each gear. In terms of power, the adjustment of the 750cc engine is not radical. The common speed range is similar to that of a car. The smoothness of the power output is great, but the absolute power is not too violent. The acceleration feeling is similar to that of a 600cc single-cylinder model. However, overtaking when driving on mountain roads is as easy as chopping melons and vegetables. In general, this kind of power feeling is very user-friendly, and it can be easily used by friends who have not driven many motorcycles. When riding on mountain roads, the center of gravity of the X-ADV vehicle can easily move according to your operations, and it can be pressed down quickly and easily when cornering. The tires have good grip on mountain roads, which can give people strong confidence. In general, X-ADV is a car that can be used in the living room and in the kitchen. It can not only complete city transportation, but also go to the mountains and wild areas, and can also go on non-paved roads, but this time the conditions are limited. Didn't get to experience this. The second day I experienced the Africa Twin, which also uses a DCT gearbox. Compared to the X-ADV, the Africa Twin is an authentic ADV model with a huge size. The LED light source used in the headlights has a good paving effect and ensures the safety of driving at night. At the same time, the daytime running lights also improve its recognition. These are proven safety configurations in cars and have been used in motorcycles. An increasing number of car models are equipped with these features. ADV itself belongs to the type of tall and powerful motorcycles, especially models in the African class are very big, and riding on the road is like riding a tall horse. The model size is 2310×960×1355mm in length, width and height, with a minimum ground clearance of 210mm, and a fuel tank capacity of 18.8L. For a model that often runs long distances, the large fuel tank really makes people feel confident. The non-double motorcycle has 4 preset riding modes and 2 customized riding modes. The routes of this test drive are all paved roads, and the TOUR mode is basically used throughout the entire process.

In terms of riding experience, the biggest shock to me first is that the power is too abundant. No matter which gear is in the speed range, power is always available when you turn the throttle. The only fly in the ointment is the downshift logic of the gearbox. In the D gear state, the gearbox will actively upshift to ensure economy. However, when the speed gradually decreases, the gearbox will not drop down in time, so that there is Sometimes there will be a slight dragging feeling. There is no such worry when in S gear. Although the real stage of this ADV model is high mountains and distant places, due to the limited conditions of this test drive section, it can only be driven on high speeds and mountain roads, which somewhat restricts the performance of Africa Shuang. At high speed, the 5-speed adjustable windshield is adjusted to the highest position, which can block most of the wind blowing towards the head, which is very important for long-distance riding. Even when cornering at a relatively high speed when driving on a mountain road, the seemingly bloated body can be pressed down flexibly, and it is not much more difficult to drive than the X-ADV.
