The Origin of National Love Ear Day

1March, 1998, at the first meeting of the Ninth National Committee of the China People's Political Consultative Conference, 15 members of the social welfare sector put forward proposal No.2330, "On Suggesting to Carry out the Publicity Activities of Love Ear Day", in view of the present situation of high incidence, large quantity, great harm and weak prevention of deafness in China. 1June, 1999, after the Ministry of Health promulgated "Common Ear Poisoning", March 3rd every year is "National Ear Love Day".

On March 3rd, 2000, China "Love Ear Day" was officially launched. In 20 13, WHO designated "National Ear Love Day" in China as "World Hearing Day" to raise people's awareness of how to prevent deafness and hearing loss, and to promote ear and hearing care worldwide. In 2022, the theme of Love Ear Day is "Access to hearing care, screening, rehabilitation and communication for all".
