China has a history of five thousand years. How is this "five thousand years" calculated?

The Xia Dynasty (approximately 2050 BC - approx. 1600 BC) recorded in historical records, it should also be true, but no conclusive archaeological evidence has been found yet. Just because no archaeological evidence has been found does not mean it does not exist.

To date, including the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, it has been 5,000 years.

Generally speaking, the history of civilization is symbolized by cities, bronzes and characters. Archaeologists have discovered an ancient city ruins from the Yellow Emperor's era in Huaiyang, Henan - the Pingliangtai Ancient City ruins, where bronzes and writings that mark civilization have been found. As far as writing is concerned, oracle bone inscriptions are usually regarded as the oldest writing, and are estimated to be around three thousand years ago. In 1986, archaeologists discovered bone carvings from the Yellow Emperor's era in Shaanxi, which experts believe are the oldest writing in China. Scientists also found signs that the pottery inscriptions in the middle and late period of Dabokou Culture in Shandong are in line with the oracle bone inscriptions of the Shang Dynasty. It is estimated that the pottery inscriptions are about five thousand years ago. In May 1993, archaeologists visited the ruins of an ancient city in Shandong. Another type of "pottery inscription" that is quite different from the oracle bone inscriptions was found. It has 11 characters arranged in five rows, and the other rows have 2 characters. The strokes are slender. Experts also found that the Hetu and Luoshu were engraved with one to ten natural number arrangements, and the Luoshu was engraved with one to nine natural number arrangements. The tortoise shells dating back about five to six thousand years are called "Heluo Culture". Some people say this is the source of Chinese culture.

In 1979, archaeologists discovered the remains at the Chengtoushan site in Hunan. The ancient city and altar of more than 6,000 years ago. The civilization level of the Hemudu ruins, which dates back to about 7,000 years, also strongly proves that China’s civilization has a history of more than 5,000 years.
