Fourth, coordinate and promote the deepening of the reform of the medical and health system, intensify the reform of public hospitals, promote the separation of management and operation, and promote the diversification of public health service providers and methods.

Division of responsibilities with the General Administration of Customs. The National Health and Wellness Committee is responsible for coordinating the prevention and control of infectious diseases and the emergency work of public health emergencies, and compiling the Catalogue of Infectious Diseases under Frontier Health and Quarantine Monitoring. The National Health and Wellness Commission and the General Administration of Customs shall establish and improve the cooperation mechanism for dealing with infectious diseases and public health incidents at ports, the notification and exchange mechanism for infectious diseases and public health incidents, and the notification and collaborative disposal mechanism for imported epidemic situations at ports.
