Structural Art and Language Art of Lao She's Teahouse?
The layout of Teahouse is original. There is no contradiction and struggle throughout the whole drama, but a drama with characters and stories.
It consists of several short stories that are almost unrelated. On the surface, the relationship between the scenes is not very close, but careful analysis will reveal that the relationship between the three scenes is a profound political consciousness described by the author.
For example, the note "Don't talk about state affairs" has more than one scene. This symbolic note reveals the unspeakable suffering and oppression of the people under the autocratic rule of these three warlord governments, and also powerfully illustrates the cruel truth of the Kuomintang government which is near liberation.
Second, attractive language charm.
The language features of Teahouse are mainly truth and image.
For example, the physiognomist Tang Tiezui came to the teahouse and said to Wang Zhanggui, "I don't smoke." Wang Zhanggui was very happy and replied, "That's good.". He went on to say, "I switched to white flour, cigarettes from the British Empire, and white flour from Japan. Are the two big countries served by me alone? "
Even if I don't know his background, I can tell by this sentence that he is a shameless person. From this humorous and personalized language, we can deeply understand that imperialism not only attacked China with guns, but also poisoned the health of China people.
Creation background
From 65438 to 0956, President Mao Zedong put forward the policy of "letting a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend" to encourage the prosperity and development of literature and art. In August of the same year, the writer Lao She completed a work "One Representative", praising the universal suffrage of the people in line with the adoption of the First National People's Congress and the Constitution. The story begins with the "Reform Movement of 1898" and continues to the general election after liberation. The first scene is a big teahouse in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. Later, the author Lao She wrote "Three Brothers of Qin Dynasty", which was about the political reforms of past dynasties, with the Qin family as the background.
Lao She discussed this work with artists such as Cao Yu, Jiao Juyin and Xia Chun. They agreed that the first scene in the teahouse was very lively and wonderful, but the following scenes were weak. They suggested developing a script based on the first scene, and then Lao She created the drama Teahouse.
