Not only retired soldiers and other special care recipients who enjoy regular pensions, but also some places issue "August 1st solatium" to all retired soldiers of their nationalities on this special festival. For example, since 20 19, ex-servicemen registered in Tianjin have been given consolation money, and the standard is 200 yuan. Article 50 The state establishes a family preferential payment system for conscripts. The standard of family preferential payments for conscripts shall be formulated by the local people's government, and the central government shall give a fixed subsidy. Specific subsidy measures shall be formulated by the competent department of retired military personnel in the State Council and the financial department in conjunction with the relevant departments of the Central Military Commission.

Conscripts and non-commissioned officers who were staff members of state organs, organizations, institutions or state-owned enterprises before enlisting may choose to resume their studies after retiring from active service.

The contracted management right of rural land obtained by conscripts and noncommissioned officers before enlisting in the army shall be retained during their active service.

Article 51 Children of officers and noncommissioned officers in active service and their families shall enjoy preferential treatment from the state and society when they join the army, find jobs, start businesses and change jobs.

Eligible military families enjoy preferential treatment in housing, medical care and old-age care in accordance with relevant regulations.

During the period of unemployment, military spouses shall enjoy corresponding security benefits in accordance with relevant state regulations.

Article 52 The local people's government shall give pensions and preferential treatment to reservists who are disabled or killed due to participation in war, military training, combat readiness and non-war military operations.
