By 2022, there will be four subway lines in Wuxi, namely 1 Line 2, Line 3 Phase I and Line 4 Phase I, all of which are subway lines, covering five municipal districts of Liangxi District, Binhu District, Xishan District, Wuxin District and Huishan District, with an operating mileage of 1 13.5038.

On July 20 14/day, the first subway line 1 in Wuxi was officially put into operation, and Wuxi became the 22nd city in Chinese mainland and the 3rd city in Jiangsu province to open rail transit.

Architectural style of Wuxi subway

The design of Wuxi subway mainly embodies the characteristics of Jiangnan water town. The interior decoration of the train incorporates the Jiangnan garden art style with the shape of "Moon Gate", and the platform ceiling is mostly designed with "water ripple".

While serving the convenience of the people, Wuxi Metro Group actively promotes the promotion of traditional culture and the main theme. The theme wall of moral civilization in Wuxi Metro Line 2 station has also been built. The theme from Kaiyuan Temple in Meiyuan to Dawang Base Station is "benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom and faith", while the theme from Wuxi East Station to Zhuangqiao Station is "loyalty, virtue, filial piety, purity and honesty" to carry forward the traditional culture of the Chinese nation.
