The new station building has a total construction area of 24,267 square meters. There are 2 ticket gates, 28 ticket sales windows and 2 parking spaces in the station. The waiting room can accommodate nearly 2, people at the same time. The main building of the passenger station has one basement and three floors above ground, and is arranged in an L shape along Xihui Road and Jianggan Road. Only the first phase of the project has been completed. After the second phase of the project is completed, the underground space will be fully utilized. At that time, all the supporting facilities such as the first and last bus stations, taxis and social vehicle parking lots will be put into use, and the passenger bus will drop off passengers directly in the basement, so that passengers can realize zero-distance transfer without leaving the basement.

The new station building is also equipped with some humanized facilities. There are 68 automatic lockers in the ticket office. Passengers do not need to manually store their luggage as before, but only need to open the automatic lockers to store their luggage. When you pick up your luggage, you just need to enter the password. In addition, in front of each ticket window, there is also a storage board. According to reports, this is convenient for passengers to put their carry-on bags on this shelf when buying tickets, which not only has anti-theft function, but also reduces the burden on passengers. These small designs reflect the humanized factors in the design and construction of the new North Bus Station.

It is also known that the bus station in the North Square of Suzhou Comprehensive Passenger Transport Hub will be put into use one after another, and it is planned to be "one station and two districts" with the North Bus Station. The passenger station will mainly undertake short-distance bus transportation and a small number of medium and long-distance bus transportation to surrounding counties and cities and tourist attractions, which are closely connected with the railway station. There are 15 parking spaces and 9 ticketing windows in the station, which can park 44 buses. During Spring Festival travel rush, the ticket window of the station will be open 24 hours. According to Zhou Wei, according to the current traffic situation in the railway station area, the passenger station is mainly used for short-distance buses to five counties and cities and tourist attractions (including Tongli, Zhouzhuang and Qiandeng) at the initial stage of its operation, and the medium and long-distance transportation will not be put into use for the time being.
