Temple architecture in prajna temple

On both sides of the Tianwang Temple are mountain gates. On the main entrance, there is a gold plaque of "prajna temple" inscribed by the famous calligrapher Mr. Feng Rian, and on the horizontal plaque at the back door, the inscription is "Three Continents Induction". There are couplets on both sides. The first part is "the sacred trace calls me to be appointed from the fire-robbing cave, but the melting pot is there", and the second part is "the magical power is unpredictable, and I believe King Kong is still alive." In the center of the temple, Maitreya Buddha (also known as the cloth bag monk) is enshrined, and behind Maitreya Buddha is the patron saint Wei Tuo Bodhisattva holding a magic pestle. There are statues of the four great kings on both sides. That is, the king of the east (burning Dorothy's voice) holds the piano; The southern growth king (burning glass) holds a sword; The big-eyed king in the west (burning the box and leaving it in Boyi) holds a snake; In the north, I heard that the heavenly king (the voice of burning Buddha) was holding a treasure umbrella. The majestic donkey kong guards the mountain gate and the three treasures of Buddha, Dharma and Monk. In the middle of the backyard of Ursa Major Hall, stands an iron-cast tripod, which was cast by prajna temple and his disciples in 1984. On the tripod, the four characters "Prajna stresses the temple" are cast.

The Hall of Ursa Major is located behind the Temple of the King of Heaven, and four gold characters inscribed by the famous calligrapher Huo are hung above the main hall. There is a "Wan Fa Kong" plaque on the east side. There is a couplet on the red pillars on the left and right sides of the temple gate: "If it is wonderful and solemn, the main companion Zhang Lingshan will be there; Originally, the Buddha was pure and holy, and the Bodhi Road is now round. " In the temple, there are three statues of Tathagata, carved with flowers dedicated to clay sculpture and gold plating. In the middle is siddhattha gotama, on the right is the pharmacist Buddha, and on the left is the Amitabha Buddha in the western paradise. In front of Gautama, disciples Ananda and Ye Jia stood around. The headlights, flowers, buildings and banners of the Buddha statue are solemn. There are 16 portraits painted on the gable walls on the east and west sides of the temple. On the windward screen behind the Buddha statue of Santahado, there are portraits of avalokitesvara, Manjusri and Samantabhadra, which are vivid and lifelike.

Buddhist scripture building is a two-story building with blue bricks and tiles in the courtyard. There is a collection of "Sanzang Twelve" Buddhist scriptures in the building.

The ancestral hall is located in the east courtyard of the temple, which was built in the thirty-fifth year of Kangxi (1676). The Hall of Great Heroes enshrines 28 Buddhist founders. In the Tang Dynasty, there was a glazed porcelain altar with green leaves and red peony painted on it. It contains the remains of Zen master Gu Lin, the founder of prajna temple.
