Sun Lin, a Chinese-American painter, 1963 graduated from the Department of Stage Art of Shanghai Theatre Academy, and has been engaged in teaching design and painting for a long time. Of course, only people standing beside him can appreciate his dedication for many years, abandon the luxury of the bustling world, seek innovation and change unremittingly, seek oriental elements and master western skills, which has both fresh painting style and heavy foundation. As Sun Lin, who has been strictly trained in the Art Institute and studied all over the world for many years, his realistic artistic view, impressionist painting style and the influence of Russian patrol school have all begun to loosen, and another kind of quality and breath different from the past flows in the brushstrokes, colors and lines of the picture, and then transforms into an atmosphere, realm, tone, mood, emotion and feeling, which is a sincere expression of modern consciousness and aesthetic pursuit closely related to the great era.

From the works of painter Sun Lin, we can clearly see a transition from aesthetic pursuit to deep and heavy art, and finally become the focus of his art. From this, we believe that the meaning of art is not to seek change deliberately, but to change and mature gradually naturally or completely.
