The two departments selected some villages from the published list of traditional villages in Jiangsu Province, and recommended 22 traditional village tour routes, covering 13 districts and cities in the province, such as Camellia Bamboo Sea in Jiangning, Nanjing, Taohuayuan in Wuxi, Maoshan in Zhenjiang and Guanlan in Lianyungang.

Before the May Day holiday this year, eight rural tourist routes launched by the Provincial Housing and Construction Department and the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism received wide attention and unanimous praise from all walks of life.

Liu Dawei, vice minister of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, said that since the provincial party committee and the provincial government innovated and implemented the action of building characteristic villages, it has become a comprehensive starting point for promoting rural revitalization. Through more than three years' unremitting efforts, 324 characteristic villages have been built in Jiangsu Province, covering 93.4% of the villages and towns involved in agriculture.

At the same time, Jiangsu took the lead in issuing the Measures for the Protection of Traditional Villages in Jiangsu Province, which brought the protection of traditional villages into the legal track. With the approval of the provincial government, three batches of 3 10 traditional villages were declared as traditional villages in Jiangsu Province. These villages are rich in traditional resources, the living environment is constantly improving, and the infrastructure and public service facilities are relatively perfect.

At the same time, combined with the surrounding landscape environment, tourist attractions, agricultural sightseeing projects, red cultural imprint and other important resources, 22 routes (***92 villages) are connected in series, covering popular tourist themes such as ancient rhyme, mountains and rivers, countryside, flower viewing, food, red, health preservation, parent-child and so on, realizing full coverage of 13 districts and cities.
