What if you always spend money?
The problem of "money" has always been a headache for me, because it seems difficult for me to arrange my money reasonably. Often I make up my mind to improve the present situation and cultivate my financial management ability, but after a period of persistence, I will spend blindly again because of various incentives. I will reflect on myself. I regret every impulse consumption, force myself to change my lifestyle and control my expenses, but it will happen again soon. Repeated is really not the way. So ... I decided to start from my consumption consciousness and psychology and want to solve the problem fundamentally.
First of all, I want to find out, what caused me to make those unnecessary consumption? I am divided into two factors: one is lack of self-control and indulging in the satisfaction brought by consumption; Second, self-awareness is weak, and I want to be affirmed through "external conditions".
Let's talk about the first point. Take milk tea as an example. At first, I will drink milk tea when I play outside. Later, when I was tired from work, I had a drink, and when I was playing at home, I had a drink, which became a habit. When you are in a bad mood, you can't solve one cup, just two cups ... So it's a habit to consume a cup of milk tea around 20 yuan.
So milk tea really works, but it does more than just a few cups of milk tea. A big meal, a dress, a bag and a lipstick are all good for entertainment. I can give myself many reasons to spend, maybe I need to cheer up when I'm in a bad mood, maybe I need to release when I'm stressed, or maybe I'm just bored-then why not find something that can bring me the most happiness? So spending money easily brings happiness? Absolutely. Consumption is satisfying and immediate. Consumption can push our day's happiness to a climax, and then we will gradually indulge in this pleasure.
So, what can be done to solve the problem of consumer satisfaction addiction?
I was inspired by a friend. My friend is versatile now, singing, dancing and painting are all on the table. I once joked with him in a chat: "You used to be mediocre, and you learned a lot in college." . He replied with a smile, "There are many learning platforms in the university, so I spend my spare time cultivating my hobbies, which not only avoids doing other things that cost money, but also cultivates the skills that may make money in the future, killing two birds with one stone." After listening to it, I really have to praise him for sticking to his investment thinking and willpower in an entertaining environment.
So I learn from this friend, cultivate some long-term hobbies that can bring positive feedback, read, write, exercise and practice oral English, and avoid going out to spend money in my spare time, or going to the online mall in my spare time. For some time, I have really felt the positive impact of cultivating hobbies on my consumption habits.
Now let's talk about the second point, consumption caused by weak self-awareness. This view was inspired by watching the program "The Invisible Poor" of the Round Table School. "Invisible poor" is a popular word on the Internet, which means that some people seem to eat and drink every day, but in fact they are poor, more because of their self-consumption.
It is mentioned in the program that young people nowadays like to play "Biao" and "Gao Gao"-you have me, and even mine is better than yours. Some people lose money and try their best to maintain some appearances and seek recognition from others. Of course, I'm not so exaggerated, but I also admit that there will be some such psychology and behavior. I want to prove my ability to pay by buying relatively new electronic products; I want to prove my aesthetic ability by buying cosmetics and clothing and paying attention to dressing up; I want to prove that I know how to enjoy life through all kinds of entertainment consumption. In short, some behaviors are not spontaneous, perhaps to prove to others that I am not poor, vulgar and boring.
The occurrence of the above behavior is fundamentally due to the lack of internal self-affirmation. Because I feel that my value is very small, I want to strengthen myself through some external things. This is also related to today's business culture. Advertisements like this abound, such as "five xxx's that must be brought in summer", "xxx's that must be brought by exquisite girls" and "XXX's that must be brought by successful people" ... Some people also like to buy the same items for stars and establish contact with them through the same items, as if they could have similar life experiences with each other with this item. Isn't this a kind of self-hypnosis? Can the same bag be as beautiful and chic as Yang Mi? Why don't we study her inner charm, her sense of self-discipline, her business thinking and her independent ability? These are the most fundamental. I told myself this.
Therefore, the solution to this problem is to improve the inner self and cultivate self-confidence. When a person gets a good self-evaluation, his possessiveness of things will decrease. When you truly affirm yourself, you will know that your life can be decided by yourself. I will choose goods according to my feelings about them, measure their cost performance, and decide according to my own needs, which has nothing to do with what circle the goods are in and what others will think. And when you are diligent in thinking and discovering and know how to judge the quality of your goods, you will understand that the more expensive things are, the better. Salespeople's advocacy is probably just for profit, and those who are always willing to buy high-priced goods are probably just paying IQ tax.
I quite agree with Wu Zhihong's words, "If parents in China don't want their children to play high match, they should know that the best high match is love". When a person's choice is often encouraged and affirmed from an early age, then she/he will gradually establish her own concept and lifestyle, and will not be so easily caught by various so-called "consumption standards".
Cultivate hobbies, train to delay satisfaction and avoid consumption addiction; Affirm your inner self, judge goods rationally, and don't play "high life". This is what I feel and what I am practicing.
