Chongqing University, referred to as CQU, is located in the central Chongqing, a municipality directly under the Central Government, is a vice-ministerial national key university directly under the central government of the Communist Party of China and directly under the Ministry of Education. It is one of the 31 centrally-administered universities in the country and is jointly constructed by the Ministry of Education and the Chongqing Municipal Government.
