Fuqing city population

Fuqing has a population of 1.41 million. According to the city profile on the website of Fuqing Municipal People's Government, Fuqing, referred to as "Rong" for short, is located in the eastern coast of Fujian Province and the south wing of Minjiang Estuary Economic Circle, with a city area of 2,43 square kilometers, including a sea area of 911 square kilometers and a permanent population of 1.41 million. Fuqing's name is taken from the words "Yongfu" and "Qingyuan" in the phrase "the mountain is from Yongfu Li and the water is from Qingyuan Li". In the first year of Minlongqi (933), Fuqing County was established. In 22 years (1933), it belonged to Minhai Province; In 1949, Fuqing was liberated, belonging to Linsen area; In 1983, it was changed to the jurisdiction of Fuzhou; In 199, Fuqing County was abolished and Fuqing City (county level) was established, which was directly under the jurisdiction of Fujian Province and managed by Fuzhou City. The main scenic spots in Fuqing are Shizhu Mountain, Ruiyan Mountain Scenic Area, Tiansheng Farm and Lingshishan National Forest Park.
